Иными словами, если вы нашли дыру в каком-то приложении, у вас есть возможность сообщить о ней владельцам приложения напрямую. И есть ненулевая вероятность, что вам за такое еще и заплатят. Помимо этого, у многих компаний есть внутренние подразделения, отвечающие за информационную безопасность, которые сами неустанно латают дыры и проводят аудит текущих ресурсов. Но так было не всегда. Давайте посмотрим, как относились к латанию дыр еще каких-то 35-40 лет назад.

On my stinking television (which comes with a Bell Fibe plan, included now with the apartment I'm renting) I no longer can sign into CBC-Gem. It just freezes at the logo now. I dunno what's going on. And I don't know whom to complain to. CBC? Bell? My apartment complex? Something else?

Experiencing crappy Internet for the first time in ages. My modem has started to fail to connect to the Internet, and I'm using a Turbo Stick (USB dongle) as a backup. It's also a little flaky.
Bell's Virtual Repair tool got through the Troubleshooting stage but is now silent. The last thing it was doing was checking my local hardware -- which may be a sign that the unit is dead.
Now trying to decide if I should take it to the closest #Bell store (ugh) where I'll be met with blank looks.

My home internet was down over the weekend.
I phoned #Teksavvy and got through to a human pretty quickly. They asked me to try a few things, then determined it was a problem with Bell's wire. So they arranged for Bell to come.
While here, the #Bell technician offered me a deal to switch back. And it seems like a good price.
But Teksavvy doesn't fob me off on a chatbot. So score one for customer service. I'm sticking with them.
