CORUS update:
Due to #CRTC unable to issue decision to approve transaction, Corus was able to delay CCAA invocation until October 31. But every delay of the recapitalisation makes Corus's financial health worse.
"This third amending agreement extends the term of the Waiver from September 1, 2026 to October 31, 2026 in light of the Company’s previously announced recapitalization transaction. "

CBC's Documentary Channel ceases to exist as a licensed specialty channel today, replaced with an unlicensed free streaming channel. Corus is awaiting #CRTC approval for its recapitalisation proposal (technically causes change of ownership). They got a waiver from creditors on meeting various covenants while await CRTC decision. This waiver expores Sept 1 2026.

Almost scary. Made a #CRTC submission yesterday which included wireless incumbents fees for SIM cards. And now I am getting an ad from Telenor producing some SIM cards. Likely because I did some google searches.

@rexbron @dyckron It is actually worse. The wholesale price TSI and others are complaininga bout is only for the last mile, the fibre between the house and the central office. The #CRTC mandated wholesale price for this is higher than many of the Bell Canada and flanker brand offers for full retail Internet access.
