This might be a useful Obsidian tip. I tried Obsidian (again!) last year but I just couldn’t walk away from Bear because it’s so good. (Bear is macOS only but they did add web access last year.)
“I discovered Obsidian's core plugin "File recovery". Enabled by default, it saves the state of your files every five minutes and keeps that history for a whole week!”

I took a stab at cleaning up my code for BearExporter, a Python script to export all of your Bear notes to Markdown files you can use with Obsidian, read in the terminal, or whatever.
As the old saying goes "it works for me!" but I know it's not exactly great code, but it is available.
I'm not great at Python but I'll try to improve it as time allows.

I wrote up a quick post on how to edit a theme for Bear (and then discovered other theme hackers as well!)

@amerpie Just came across this one based on a post from @jantzen. I've not tried to tweak the CSS yet, but the baseline capability is simple and likely what you might be interested in.

Do wish someone made a plugin that gave export format options similar to what Bear Notes App offers. That app is so good about allowing you to easily copy text or export files in various formats VERY simply.
So damned handy.

🫶 Meet Bear, the Markdown note-taking app that helps you capture and organize your thoughts 🐻❄️
MindNode and Bear are a pawfect match 🐾 Use our special shortcut to import your Bear notes into MindNode and turn them into mind maps.

For those using Bear Notes App, they have some lovely new features with their 2.1 update, including a quick open command to search notes and tags.
Also, interestingly, supports importing #obsidian files and also markdown files with attachments generally.
I use both #obsidian and Bear and love both.
