Continuing my posts on the impact of drought on Bear Mountain. Here are a series of photos taken on the Appalachian Trail ascending to the peak of Bear. These photographs seem monochromatic because of the overall abundance of copper throughout the images. Another reminder of how dry it’s been here in NY. Since August, we’ve had barely any rainfall. While hiking Bear Mountain, I even saw smoke from a brush fire not far from where I was.
