    If #beansAndRice are a thing you do a lot, or occasionally, what spices/herbs do you like to use?

    I vary a bit each time, but typically start with turmeric, mustard seed, cumin seed, oregano, coriander seed, bay leaf.

  5. #Supper on my own tonight, so building a mixed #beansAndRice thing. Starting with canned mixed beans, plus an extra tin of red kidney beans.

    When not spontaneous I usually begin the day before with dried beans. This is a little more slap dash.

    It'll be more tasty tomorrow, but for now it will be nicely filling at least.
