Our broadband was gone all day and still not back this evening so it was lucky that our club midweek spin on the #barrowblueway was on this evening, 3 of us had the light of the moon to help show us the way. It was cold but with a few layers on, once we were moving it was a lovely night to be out

We're back doing our club midweek spins at night on the #BarrowBlueway, our first was last week during the lovely mild spell we had but there was a definite touch of early winter in the temperatures last night. We're lucky to have such a great facility close to us, more of it is open this year so we have a choice of start points and routes this year. @ronanmcd Since we've had the #barrowblueway close to us I've been able to listen to either music or podcasts that interest me while I'm cycling there, never felt it was safe on the road and there's always some distraction at home.

A lovely cold, clear and frosty morning today, no gritting overnight meant the roads weren't fit for cycling on so we took to the #BarrowBlueway and went up and down between Monasterevin and Athy twice to get some KMs in for the #Festive500. A particular highlight was twice seeing close up a kingfisher hunting up and down the opposite canal bank. 80kms today has me very close to 200km, hopefully we'll be past half way tomorrow, though that looks like it might be a bit of a wet and windy slog.
