Finally pulled the trigger and got all details sorted for my bikepacking tour from Boston to Bar harbor. I am doing "credit card" bikepacking meaning I'll stay at hotels.
Plan was:
Day 1: Boston - Portland
Day 2: Portland - Camden
Day 3: Camden - Bar HarborBut I learnt a lesson from my shakedown with the overnight bag on the gravel bike to Portland - with the huge weight and aero penalty, making it to Portland in one day is miserable. I want to enjoy my bikepacking tour. So I split that into two days:
Day 1: Boston - Portsmouth
Day 2: Portsmouth - PortlandAnd Day 3 would be to Rockland - Camden is cute but there're not many optioins for overnight stays.
And then Josh will meet me at Bar Harbor, and we'll spend the weekend there. I already planned two routes there: Carriage roads & Mt Cadillac.
Now join me for the prayer: please do not rain from Sep 8th to 13th along this corridor.

So. Last days were amazing. Went to Fårö and spent a fabulous night by the beach (after taking several swims), returned to Gotland, took a birdbath at blå lagunen and now I’m back to Visby already. What a fantastic adventure this was!

Been to the southern most point yesterday. The landscape in the south is amazing. It looks very dry. Reminded me of places far more south.

Ihr wisst ja.... #Mountainbiker machen den Wald kaputt und müssen deshalb aus dem Wald verbannt werden.
Um diesem absurden #Vorurteil, #Bashing und #Blaming gerecht zu werden, habe ich mir auf meiner #Biketour heute durch's #Krebsbachtal bei #Eigeltingen besonders viel Mühe gegeben, nicht nur den Weg, sondern auch das Bachbett ohne Rücksicht auf Flora, Fauna und Ökosystem zu zerstören - siehe Fotos.
Die fehlenden Bäume gehen natürlich auch auf meine Kappe... die habe ich mit dem Kettenblatt umgesägt.
