  1. First event of the summer is as set up as we can be ready for business tomorrow and Sunday.

Obviously the sea mist rolls in and grey cloud arrives whilst we're there, after a week long heatwave.

It's sunny away from this southern end of the #IsleofWight though! #ChaleShow #AvailableLightPhotography

  2. Another from last week, this time my husband didn't light paint the #Longstone with a torch.
There's virtually no light pollution at this location and the #NorthernLights put on an amazing spectacle.

  3. Where I live! Photographed last night.
What a day at the shop, we haven't stopped. So grateful for all the love for the Aurora photos, they were flying out today.
    One very thankful #SmallBusiness owner.

  4. Sunset over #Sandown on the #IsleofWight a couple of evenings ago.
A town popular with tourists and where I lived for 3 years as a teenager on my first stint of residing on the Island.
We've printed up a panoramic shot for the shop window taken a minute or so earlier than this one.

  5. Yesterday's sunset was spectacular, everything glowed orange!
We'd had such a wet grey day, but the skies cleared just after 2pm and later gave us some amazing colours.

This was taken at #BinnelBay on the #IsleofWight with #StCatherinesLighthouse in the distance.

  6. My husband took this shot on our walk to #MenAnTol earlier today.

It's an iconic megalithic structure - well worth a visit.

It was a perfect walk, the misty weather and the mud only seemed to make it more special. We had the place to ourselves.

  7. As @MathC has suggested a new hashtag #MoonMonday I thought I'd make my first contribution.

My husband took this shot of the #CrescentMoon over All Saints church in #Ryde on the #IsleofWight

He used a telephoto lens and was standing a mile away to capture this perspective. It also involved dodging some traffic as the angle needed to be from the middle of a busy road!

  8. We've had some mad waves around the Island this week. Thankfully things have calmed down now and the sun is out.

This is #Sandown which is usually quite a sheltered bay. You can see the pier in the distance, I imagine the dodgems and the slide at the end were closed that day!

  9. This image, taken yesterday was supposed to be a big moon telephoto shot, but the weather scuppered that plan.

In the end my husband just had fun with the camera trying to get starbursts on the street lights. Apparently a small aperture does the trick.

  10. Yesterday afternoon at #Sandown on the #IsleofWight

The truly horrendous weather that has seen parts of the Island flood has also had moments of beauty.

    #CulverCliff is a hotspot for Autumn #rainbows
