Not every festival photograph needs to be of the headline act.
Sometimes it’s the details in between that tell the story — the people, the colour, the quieter moments and the atmosphere that make it memorable.
These were all shot on 35mm film using a Pentax 17 loaded with Kodak UltraMax 400, and a Ricoh 500 G with CineStill 800T.
Each brought its own character to the festival, from warm summer afternoons to the glow of the evening lights.

Just back from Stuck In Film, these are a few frames from two rolls of film I took to this year’s Isle of Wight Festival. Different cameras. Different film stocks. And, once again… a bit of an experiment.
The Ricoh 500 G was loaded with CineStill 800T. The Pentax 17 half-frame with Kodak UltraMax 400.
The CineStill really shone under the festival lights, while the Pentax and UltraMax combination handled the darker conditions better than I expected. Each roll of film teaches me something new.
