I'm very tempted by that camera, but this job is all about the pocket, and having a colour film loaded as a backup to the almost ubiquitous b&w in my #PentaxMX. XA2 looks good. Only negative (sorry) is the wind-on wheel, but might have to accept that. Much less expensive than either mju2 or 17, even with seals fixed!

I'm particularly interested in how pocketable the #Pentax17 is. Clearly the mju 2 is extremely pocketable; in fact the defuncting (??) mju 2 has been in a pocket since March this year. It's good for that, generally not too many places for pocket fluff to get in, but perhaps not robust enough for the job. (My cameras NEED to be robust, they get treated as if they are... sadly.)

And though _very_ pocketable it has some very annoying features (that d**n flash, for example). Other compact film cameras similarly over priced. Could get a P17 for £489 including a 5 brick of Portra 400, my fave film! #FilmPhotography #BelieveinFilm

Not every festival photograph needs to be of the headline act.

Sometimes it’s the details in between that tell the story — the people, the colour, the quieter moments and the atmosphere that make it memorable.

These were all shot on 35mm film using a Pentax 17 loaded with Kodak UltraMax 400, and a Ricoh 500 G with CineStill 800T.

Each brought its own character to the festival, from warm summer afternoons to the glow of the evening lights.
