I know, riht? I see that AGL is already pushing the idea to consumers. Where there’s a buck to be made…Some Community Battery projects (can’t confirm) seem to be off grid though. That would be the way to go. What energy providers decide to do is their business as long as consumers have a choice and their govt representatives do their f***ing job right.
There is also a need for technology to allow individual consumers to ‘program in’ how they wish to use their PV outputs and control their grid connection accordingly. This might require legislation though, who knows.
