Yemeni Forces Strike Saudi-Backed Mercenaries for Second Straight Day

Yemeni armed forces have launched a new wave of ballistic missile and drone attacks on Saudi-backed mercenary forces in the country, killing at least two militants and wounding several others.

Local media reported that Yemeni military units struck Saudi-sponsored militiamen from the so-called Shabwah Defense Forces in the Bayhan district of the southeastern province of Shabwah on Monday, inflicting heavy losses on them.

The development came only hours after Yemeni army forces carried out fresh drone attacks on the port city of Mokha in the southwestern province of Ta’izz.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage from the late Sunday strikes.

On Sunday, Yemeni army strikes hit Mokha port and nearby areas, killing seven Saudi-backed mercenaries and wounding 30 people.

Spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced in a statement that Yemeni troops struck the Saudi-backed forces and their arms depots, using ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones.

He added that the projectiles and unmanned aerial aircraft precisely struck their designated targets.

Saree noted that the major operation was conducted as the mercenaries were executing a substantial military buildup and preparing to launch attacks on Yemeni forces.

On July 20, the Sana’a government announced a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia, stating that authorities in Riyadh have imposed “an unjust and oppressive siege” on Yemen for nearly 12 years, “plundering our resources and implementing a complete blockade.”

Subsequently, the Yemeni Armed Forces have announced multiple successful operations against Saudi-linked vessels in the Red Sea.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and its allies have imposed a blockade on Yemen, initiating a comprehensive war supported militarily, politically, and logistically by the United States and certain Western countries.

The war has killed tens of thousands of Yemenis, yet Saudi Arabia has failed to achieve its primary goal of reinstalling a puppet regime aligned with Riyadh.

Yemen Warns Saudi Regime: Persistence in Colonial Policies Will Lead To its Collapse

Yemen’s Foreign Ministry has warned Saudi officials that continued pursuit of colonial policies will result in the collapse of the ruling regime in Riyadh and bring an end to its long history of criminal aggression.

In a statement on Thursday, the ministry emphasized that Saudi Arabia, through its ongoing colonial activities and interference, is heading toward a point of no return, a trajectory that could mark the final chapter of the regime’s criminal record against the Yemeni people and the region.

The Yemeni body reiterated that the drive for colonialism and domination will ultimately lead only to the destruction of the Saudi regime itself. It called on Saudi officials to abandon their aggressive and expansionist approach or face the inevitable consequences of their actions.

The warning comes amid escalating tensions, as Yemeni armed forces continue to respond firmly to the Saudi-imposed blockade and aggression that has persisted for over a decade. Yemeni officials have repeatedly stressed that Riyadh’s attempts to maintain a siege on Yemeni ports and airports, plunder national resources, and occupy parts of Yemeni territory represent a blatant colonial project that the Yemeni people will never accept.

Recent statements from Sana’a have underscored that any further Saudi escalation or “escape forward” will be met with comprehensive responses whose consequences the regime will be unable to bear. Yemeni forces have already demonstrated their capability to enforce the principle of “blockade for blockade” and target vital Saudi interests when necessary, in legitimate defense of sovereignty and the right to lift the unjust siege.

Yemen remains committed to restoring its full rights, ending the aggression, and achieving a just peace while making clear that persistence in colonial policies offers the Saudi regime no path other than decline and eventual downfall.

The Yemeni Foreign Ministry statement comes amid heightened tensions between Yemen and Saudi Arabia. The escalation follows Saudi airstrikes on Sana’a International Airport last month to halt humanitarian flights carrying patients and stranded civilians.

In response, Yemeni forces struck Saudi Arabia’s Abha International Airport with ballistic missiles and drones. They also announced a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia to end the 12-year Saudi-led siege.

President of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat has said the only path to ending the ongoing hostilities and establishing peace is an unconditional halt to Saudi Arabia’s blockade and aggression against the Arab country.

“Should the aggression persist and the siege is not lifted, any dialogue and agreement will be nothing but an illusion and a mirage,” Mashat warned recently.

Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies imposed the blockade on Yemen as part of a full-scale military campaign launched on March 26, 2015, with military, political, and logistical backing from the United States and other Western countries.

Ansarallah Successfully Targets Saudi Forces in Massive Attack

The Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a large-scale military operation against Saudi military reinforcements, reporting hundreds of casualties and significant material damage, the YAF spokesperson, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced.

The Yemeni military spokesperson said the operation was a response to continued Saudi actions, stating that “in light of the criminal Saudi enemy’s persistence in continuing the siege and aggression against our dear Yemeni people for nearly 12 years, our Armed Forces monitored large Saudi military concentrations that were in their final stages, aimed at escalating against the free provinces and the Yemeni people to deter them from their position on ending the unjust siege.”

According to Saree, the operation targeted Saudi troop concentrations in the areas of al-Ruwayk, al-Abr, and al-Thaniya, as well as other camps belonging to the so-called First and Third Emergency Brigades, with a large number of ballistic missiles and drones.

Hundreds killed; camps, storages, weapons destroyed

The operation, according to the YAF, resulted in:

• the killing and wounding of hundreds of “Saudi enemy mercenaries”
• the destruction and burning of a large number of Saudi enemy camps, concentrations, weapons depots, and military equipment in the al-Wadi’ah area, east of the country
• the destruction of a large number of military vehicles stationed at the targeted bases

The statement included a direct warning addressed to Saudi Arabia, saying, “The Yemeni Armed Forces warn the criminal Saudi enemy against any folly it commits against our country and people, and it will bear the consequences of any escalation.”

Saree also addressed Yemeni nationals serving within Saudi forces, advising them to “leave the camps of the Saudi enemy and return to their areas before it is too late.”

Concluding the statement, he said that the Armed Forces “are on full alert to confront any escalation,” urging the Yemenis to remain vigilant and continue targeting “Saudi military concentrations wherever they are, under the equation of ‘blockade for blockade’ until the blockade on our country is ended.”

This comes as Yemen continues to confront the Saudi aggression on Sanaa, enforcing a blockade on Saudi oil vessels and conducting operations targeting Saudi assets.

YAF continues to enforce blockade on Saudi vessels

Earlier today, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that they targeted a Saudi oil tanker in the Gulf of Aden, marking the latest in a series of maritime operations against Saudi shipping.

The Armed Forces said they successfully targeted the DAISY oil tanker using a ballistic missile and confirmed that the vessel was struck and forced to retreat.

According to a statement by the Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the operation was part of Sanaa’s maritime navigation ban on Saudi vessels under the “blockade for blockade” equation.

Nine vessels targeted since blockade went into effect

Saree added that the Yemeni Armed Forces are closely monitoring the movements of Saudi oil tankers and will prevent any tanker from passing through the southern and northern Red Sea “until the legitimate and rightful demands of the Yemeni people are met and the blockade is lifted.”

With the latest operation, the total number of Saudi oil vessels targeted by the Yemeni Armed Forces has risen to nine since the naval blockade went into effect on July 22, according to Saree.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported earlier on Thursday that it had received a report of an incident involving a tanker 95 nautical miles southeast of Aden. “UKMTO has received a report of an incident 95NM southeast of Aden, Yemen. The Master of a tanker reported hearing a loud explosion in close proximity to the vessel,” the agency said, adding that all crew were accounted for and safe, with no environmental impact reported.

Ansarallah Leader Accuses Saudi of Supporting US/zionist Schemes

The leader of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, affirmed that the “Zionist brutality and the US-zionist aggression against the Islamic Ummah” continues amid the escalation of attacks against Iran, warning that the current regional developments are part of a broader project targeting the peoples of West Asia.

In a speech delivered on Thursday, Sayyed al-Houthi reiterated that “Zionism and its followers are targeting the Islamic Ummah, although their danger extends to the entirety of human society.”

He said that the stated objectives driving Yemen’s adversaries at this stage revolve around changing the West Asia region and establishing “Greater Israel.”

Zionist project threatens the entire region

Sayyed al-Houthi said that “Zionist orientations and US-zionist movements are engaged in a heated confrontation with the Ummah,” adding that they are displaying “a degree of aggression surpassing what came before.”

He described the Zionist project as a comprehensive danger to the nation that spares no one, including those who maintain relations with or support Washington.

The Ansar Allah leader stressed the need for the peoples of the region to recognize the openly declared Zionist project targeting them through aggression. “The American moves within the framework of the Zionist project, with a colonial drive and an orientation toward plundering resources and controlling the region,” Sayyed al-Houthi said.

He argued that the attacks on Iran, Lebanon, and Palestine are part of a broader effort aimed at removing obstacles preventing the achievement of US and zionist objectives in the region.

Sayyed al-Houthi further accused Washington and the zionist entity of cooperating to “control the Ummah, dominate it, and erase its Islamic identity,” expressing regret that some governments, due to their influence over their “subjugated peoples,” are moving in a direction that serves what he described as the enemies of the Ummah.

Saudi Arabia major player in serving Zionist agenda

Addressing Saudi Arabia’s role in the region, Sayyed al-Houthi said cooperation with the zionist regime falls within an escalating campaign targeting the Islamic Ummah, the Palestinian people, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Lebanese people.

He accused the Saudi regime of playing “a major role in serving Zionism,” saying that while Riyadh presents itself as concerned with the issues of the Ummah, it operates “under the American-Zionist umbrella.”

Regarding Yemen, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi said the Yemeni people remain among those suffering the most from Saudi actions, as part of a US-backed scheme serving the interests of the zionist enemy.

He stressed that depriving Yemenis of their basic rights is unacceptable, noting that such rights are recognized under international conventions and laws. According to Sayyed al-Houthi, the Yemeni people will not accept any attempt to strip them of their freedom, as they understand that targeting them is ultimately an attack on their dignity and steadfastness.

He accused the Saudi-led aggression against Yemen of employing “American tactics to burn Yemen and completely destroy it” in an attempt to break the will and resilience of the Yemeni people.

Sayyed al-Houthi also accused Saudi Arabia of continuing its “aggressive policy” toward Yemen by tightening the blockade, saying Yemenis are being deprived of national resources that belong to the people and not to Saudi Arabia.

He further stated that revenues that could have been used to provide essential services for Yemenis have been withheld by Saudi Arabia under US supervision. Blasting the blockade as an “unjust practice,” Sayyed al-Houthi said it has caused immense suffering, despite Yemen possessing economic resources that remain, in his words, “under the control of the enemies.”

The Ansar Allah leader also linked the tightening of the blockade to Yemen’s support for Palestine during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, stressing that Saudi measures intensified while Sanaa was backing the Palestinian people. He also revealed that the Saudi regime was targeting drones and missiles launched toward Israeli targets during the genocide in Gaza.

He warned that “the Saudi enemy wants to impose on our people a situation similar to that of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip,” accusing the Saudi regime of cooperating with the United States, “Israel”, and Britain within what he described as a broader Zionist project in the region.

Sayyed al-Houthi added that Saudi actions toward Yemen constitute a violation of the rights of neighboring peoples and have inflicted severe suffering on the population. He argued that a serious response to the blockade had become necessary, while stressing that Yemen’s confrontation with Saudi aggression does not mean abandoning broader regional issues or the Palestinian cause.

“Our action in confronting Saudi aggression is in the same direction as the causes of our Ummah,” he said.

Sayyed al-Houthi warns of continued zionist crimes in Palestine

Turning to Palestine, Sayyed al-Houthi warned of “dangerous indicators” suggesting that the zionist occupation is preparing to destroy part of Al-Aqsa Mosque indirectly through excavation works.

He said the occupation continues its crimes, aggression, and various violations against the Palestinian people.

“The Zionist entity, since the occupation of Palestine until today, has adopted a path based on expansion and control over more countries in the region,” Sayyed al-Houthi said.

He also offered condolences and solidarity to the Iraqi people, Iraq’s security institutions, and the families of those killed in the US-Saudi aggression against Iraq, condemning the attack and expressing Yemen’s support for Baghdad at all levels.

Yemen Vows Relentless Strikes on Saudi, Continues Attacks

Yemen will not cease military operations against Saudi Arabia until Riyadh completely lifts its long-standing siege, says a senior official.

Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a senior member of the Ansarullah political bureau, firmly rejected Saudi attempts to deflect blame for recent airspace violations and the bombing of the Sana’a International Airport.

Recent escalation has seen Yemeni forces strike critical Saudi oil facilities and down hostile drones violating Yemen’s airspace.

Riyadh has sought to attribute the presence of a hostile drone over Yemeni territory to inside opponents, attempting to frame the aggression as an internal Yemeni conflict.

“Any violation of Yemen’s sovereignty will not exempt Saudi Arabia from punishment,” Bukhaiti said. “Our weapons will never be pointed at internal opponents; they are reserved exclusively for the Saudi enemy.”

Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Saudi violation of Yemeni airspace as an unacceptable act of aggression that will be met with a decisive response guaranteed by all international regulations.

The ministry said in a statement that the successful downing of Saudi drones within Yemen’s borders serves as undeniable proof of Riyadh’s ongoing violations as well as Yemen’s sovereign right to reciprocate.

Addressing international critics who condemn Yemen’s defense of its airspace, the ministry said, “Open your own airspace to Saudi aviation, let it roam freely, and allow it to target whomever it wishes.”

The ministry also underscored the “unity of arenas” with the Axis of Resistance as a religious, strategic principle.

Furthermore, it strongly condemned recent Saudi threats against neighboring Iraq, warning Riyadh that its policy of antagonizing its Arab and Islamic neighbors will ultimately result in catastrophic losses for the kingdom.

The diplomatic and military warnings follow a series of precision strikes by the Yemeni Armed Forces targeting sensitive crude oil supply and transport sites linking eastern Saudi Arabia to the critical Red Sea export hub of Yanbu.

Military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said the operations were a direct response to Saudi drone incursions.

The strikes on the Yanbu corridor are particularly significant.

Following the outbreak of the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran in February, and Iran’s subsequent enforcement of its sovereign rights in the Strait of Hormuz, Saudi Arabia has been forced to reroute its crude output to Yanbu via its east-west pipeline to bypass the disrupted waterway.

In response to the 12-year siege, Yemen recently announced a comprehensive maritime blockade of Saudi oil industry in the Red Sea, a legitimate measure that has sent shockwaves through global energy markets and placed immense economic pressure on Riyadh.

Desperate to break the blockade, Saudi Arabia resumed airstrikes on Yemen’s vital port of Hodeidah, hypocritically claiming the attacks were necessary to “protect shipping” while continuing to strangle Yemen’s own lifelines.

This latest flare-up marks the most significant exchange of fire between Yemen and Saudi Arabia in years, effectively shattering the remnants of the 2022 UN-brokered truce.

Ansarallah Targets Aramco Sites in Retaliation for Saudi Attacks on Hodeidah

The Yemeni Armed Forces, affiliated with Ansarallah, announced on Saturday that they carried out two large-scale military operations targeting Saudi Aramco facilities, describing the attacks as retaliation for Saudi Arabia’s “blatant and criminal aggression” against Yemen.

Asarallah military spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree said the first operation targeted sensitive Aramco facilities in Jizan with dozens of ballistic missiles and drones, while the second struck Aramco-linked facilities in Yanbu using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones.

According to Saree, both operations achieved their objectives by delivering “accurate and direct strikes” on their intended targets.

Following the reported attacks, social media footage showed thick plumes of smoke rising from Saudi Aramco’s refinery in Jizan, while NASA’s FIRMS/VIIRS satellite monitoring system detected multiple fire hotspots at the facility.

Response to Saudi Strikes

Saree said the operations came in direct response to overnight Saudi airstrikes targeting the port city of Hodeidah, Kamaran Island, and other civilian facilities in western Yemen.

He described the Saudi attacks as a violation of Yemen’s sovereignty that caused both material damage and broader harm to the country.

The military spokesperson also said Yemeni air defenses confronted Saudi warplanes after they entered Yemeni airspace, forcing them to withdraw before carrying out what he described as additional attacks.

“The latest aggression demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s determination to continue its blockade of Yemen and violate its sovereignty,” Saree said.

He stressed that the Yemeni Armed Forces remain committed to defending the country and warned that the naval blockade imposed on Saudi Arabia would remain in effect.

“We will not hesitate to expand our operations and escalate our actions based on developments in the coming hours and days, within the equation of a blockade for a blockade and an escalation for an escalation,” he added.

Ansarallah Condemns Saudi Escalation

Earlier, Ansarallah’s Political Bureau condemned Saudi strikes on Hodeidah province and Kamaran Island, describing them as a dangerous escalation and an extension of the blockade imposed on Yemen.

The movement said Riyadh had deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure in an attempt to compensate for its military and political failures.

It warned that the attacks “will not pass without a response,” reiterating that the Yemeni deterrence strategy of “blockade for blockade, ports for ports, and escalation for escalation” remains in force.

Sana’a: Saudi Arabia Must Bear the Consequences

Yemen’s Foreign Ministry in Sana’a likewise warned that Saudi Arabia would bear responsibility for the consequences of its latest attacks.

It warned that the strikes marked a new phase in the confrontation and would alter the course of the conflict.

Mohammed Abdul Salam, head of Sana’a’s negotiating delegation, said recent Saudi actions demonstrate that Riyadh remains committed to maintaining the blockade on Yemen.

He pointed to the Saudi strike on Sana’a International Airport earlier this month as evidence that the kingdom intends to keep the airport closed unless it authorizes flights itself.

Abdul Salam accused Saudi Arabia of violating Yemen’s sovereignty while simultaneously claiming to defend it, saying Riyadh was attempting to compensate for its failure during years of war by continuing the blockade.

He also condemned the latest attacks on Hodeidah and Kamaran Island, warning that “any aggression against Yemen will not pass without a response and the Saudi regime must bear the consequences of its criminal acts.”

‘Forcing Yemen to Surrender Is Impossible’

Meanwhile, Nasser al-Amer, head of Yemen’s SABA News Agency, told Al Mayadeen that the Yemeni response to the latest Saudi escalation would be significant.

“The Yemeni response to Saudi escalation will be significant,” he said, adding that “forcing the Yemeni people to surrender is impossible, and the Saudi side must lift the blockade.”

The latest exchange marks one of the most significant direct confrontations between Saudi Arabia and Yemen in recent months, raising tensions around the Red Sea as both sides signal that further escalation is likely.

Ansarallah Renews Strikes on Ships Violating Blockade

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced a military operation targeting two Saudi oil tankers, identified as “ENCELIA” and “LAYLA”, noting that the vessels had violated a ban imposed by the Yemeni side.

Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree said the operation was carried out using a number of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones, adding that the strikes accurately hit their targets.

Saree said the operation came as part of ongoing maritime operations, adding that the Yemeni Armed Forces had also forced approximately 10 ships to retreat and return.

Later, the Saudi General Authority for Transport admitted that the Saudi-operated vessel ENCELIA came under attack while sailing in the Red Sea, causing a fire to break out in the ship’s bow.

The authority confirmed that all crew members are safe, adding that the relevant authorities have taken all necessary measures to secure the vessel and its crew.

Yemen warns KSA against any blunders

Meanwhile, the military spokesperson vowed that the Yemeni Armed Forces would continue their maritime operations against the Saudi enemy and maintain a “blockade for blockade” response.

The Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson warned Saudi Arabia against carrying out any blunders or aggression against Yemen, saying any such action would be met with major operations deep inside Saudi territory.

The statement did not provide further details on the reported condition of the two tankers or whether there were any casualties or material damage.

Sanaa cautions Saudi amid enforced seige

Major General Mohammad Al-Qadri, commander of Yemen’s Coastal Defense Forces, announced on Tuesday that the decision to impose the maritime navigation ban on Saudi Arabia had entered into force as of Monday afternoon, stressing that economic security can no longer be separated from military security and that all options remain open, with the highest level of readiness maintained.

According to al-Qadri, the Yemeni naval forces possess the combat capability required to enforce the decision, just as they previously acted against the Israeli enemy by preventing its vessels from passing through the Red Sea and Arabian Sea.

He said Yemen had become a formidable regional power, with military capabilities that enable it to establish new deterrence equations.

The two options facing Saudi Arabia

The Coastal Defense Forces commander stressed that Saudi Arabia now faces only two options: either lift the blockade and end its intervention, or continue escalating, which he warned would come at Riyadh’s own peril.

He affirmed full readiness to implement the equation of “blockade for blockade, airports for airports, and ports for ports.”

Al-Qadri said that, four years after the truce, the Saudi regime continues to engage in maneuvering, stalling, and evading implementation of the agreement reached under UN and Omani auspices, forcing Yemen to move toward direct, field-based deterrence measures.

He also said that Sanaa is more committed than any other Arab capital to avoiding confrontation with any country in the region, but that Saudi Arabia had left Yemen with no other option.

Yemen’s Armed Forces announced an immediate maritime navigation ban on Saudi Arabia, military spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree said on Monday. “The Yemeni Armed Forces announce a ban on maritime navigation by the criminal Saudi enemy under the equation of blockade for blockade. This decision shall take effect immediately upon the issuance of this statement,” Saree stressed.

“We extend our greetings, with pride and reverence, to the sons of our great Yemeni people who participated in the ‘Warning and Mobilization’ million-man rally in an unparalleled manner. We affirm to them that we will spare no effort in restoring their usurped rights and ending the unjust blockade imposed upon them, regardless of the consequences and repercussions, seeking Allah’s help and placing our trust in Him,” he concluded.

Yemen compelled to impose maritime ban on Saudi Arabia after prolonged delays: Sanaa

The head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, said the Yemeni Armed Forces’ decision to impose a maritime navigation ban on Saudi Arabia was a step Yemen was compelled to take.

Abdulsalam said Saudi Arabia had been given a lengthy period to fulfill its obligations and address the repercussions of its aggression against Yemen.

He accused the Saudi government of choosing “ignorance, procrastination, and waiting out the situation” in order to avoid meeting its obligations, adding that Riyadh had sought to deny its role in the blockade imposed on Yemen.

Abdulsalam said Saudi Arabia was responsible for the continued closure of Sanaa International Airport over the past years and was the main instigator behind the maritime blockade.

He warned that the belief that the blockade could be prolonged indefinitely was “a mistaken assumption and a losing bet,” saying the Yemeni people had delivered a decisive message through “unprecedented mass demonstrations” that the period granted to Saudi Arabia had ended.

“The Saudi regime bears responsibility for the consequences of any escalation,” Abdulsalam said, adding that “a blockade in response to a blockade is the natural, legal, and moral response to Saudi intransigence.”

He said Yemen’s military position was aimed at pressuring Saudi Arabia to “comply with the truth and fully lift the blockade.”

Yemen Warns Saudi Strike on Sana’a Airport Marks End of Truce, Retaliates in Strike

Yemen’s Foreign Ministry in Sana’a has condemned Saudi Arabia’s attack on Sana’a International Airport, saying that the strike marks the end of the truce and the beginning of a new phase of war.

In a statement on Monday, the Ministry declared that Yemen will enter a new stage to fully reclaim its rights, warning that Saudi Arabia will find itself in a major strategic deadlock and will bear high costs for its aggression.

Separately, the spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, stated that “the Saudi aggression will not go unpunished,” adding, “The Saudi enemy has ended the de-escalation phase, and must bear responsibility for all potential consequences.”

The Yemeni Ministry of Transport announced in a statement that “Saudi Arabia’s bombardment of Sana’a airport and violation of the Yemeni airspace signifies the Riyadh regime’s insistence, with Americans’ and Zionists’ push, to continue the siege.”

Moreover, a high-ranking Yemeni source told Al Mayadeen that “the decision to break the siege on Sana’a airport is irreversible,” pointing to the high combat readiness of Yemeni Armed Forces and their preparedness for all possible scenarios.

“Saudi Arabia must accept the full consequences of any escalatory action,” he said.

The source noted that Saudi Arabia is responsible for obstructing the restoration of peace and stability throughout Yemen. “Saudi officials do not have a clear understanding of the status quo, and simply depend on the regime’s mercenaries to make snap decisions.”

He warned that any misstep by the Riyadh regime and its mercenaries “would move the state of affairs to a new level”, adding that Saudi authorities cannot hide behind their agents.

The source also warned that Saudi Arabia’s economy, airports and ports will have to bear the full brunt of any folly that Riyadh commits.

Furthermore, the political bureau of the Ansarullah resistance movement said in a statement that the Saudi regime, in a dangerous escalatory step, bombed Sana’a International Airport in an attempt to prevent the Sana’a government’s delegation from returning to their homeland, but it failed.

“The crime of targeting Sana’a airport constitutes a blatant act of aggression against our people, a flagrant violation of sovereignty, and a clear breach of international laws and conventions. The bombardment reflects the level of hatred and criminality harbored by the Saudi regime, backed by the United States, toward our nation,” the statement read.

It added that the aerial attack comes within the framework of satisfying Washington’s desire to maintain the unjust 11-year-long blockade on Yemen.

“The Saudi attack is an attempt to re-impose tutelage over Yemen, and take away its independent decision-making and sovereignty. The policy of force, arrogance, and supremacy pursued by the Saudi regime, backed by the United States, will achieve no results, and is doomed to failure,” the statement noted.

The Ansarullah’s political bureau underscored that the Yemeni nation reserves the right to respond to the Saudi aggression against Sana’a International Airport.

“The United Nations, the international community, and humanitarian organizations must assume their responsibilities regarding the crippling blockade imposed on Yemen.

“Our people have always been, and will remain, free, steadfast in defending their rights, sovereignty, and dignity. No act of aggression will deter them from defending their legitimate rights,” the statement concluded.

In response to the aggression Ansarullah launched a wave of missile and drone attacks against Saudi. Yemen warned civilians to stay away from airports as the strikes are ongoing.

Yemeni Defenses Intercept Saudi Fighter Jets as Siege is Broken

The Yemeni Armed Forces issued on Friday a statement to highlight a Saudi attempt to prevent an Iranian civilian aircraft from landing at Sana’a International Airport.

The statement indicated that the Saudi attempt failed through the interception of the warplanes by the Yemeni Armed Forces that thwarted this attempt by targeting the warplanes with a number of air defense missiles.

What follows is the text of the statement read by the military spokesman General Yahya Saree:

This morning, Friday, at 5:20 AM, a formation of Saudi enemy warplanes violated Yemeni airspace in an attempt to prevent an Iranian civilian aircraft carrying more than 200 stranded, wounded, and sick citizens from landing at Sana’a International Airport, which is along with Yemen, has been under an unjust blockade for nearly 11 years, however, thanks be to Allah, their attempt failed through the interception of the warplanes by the Yemeni Armed Forces that thwarted this attempt by targeting the warplanes with a number of air defense missiles, forcing it to leave Yemeni airspace by the grace and power of Allah.

Therefore, the Yemeni Armed Forces affirm the following:

First, we warn the criminal Saudi enemy against repeating any attempt to violate our airspace or any aggression targeting our country, such actions will be met with a comprehensive response targeting its airports and vital interests on land and sea.

Second, we will not accept the continuation of the unjust Saudi-American blockade on our country indefinitely, and we will take all legitimate steps to end this blockade.

Third, we call upon our dear people to continue the general mobilization and combat readiness in response to the call of our leader, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, may Allah protect him.

Fourthly, we affirm the readiness of the armed forces, in all their formations, for any options the Leader may decide upon, and that their fingers are on the trigger to implement derectives aimed at breaking the Saudi-American siege on our dear people and expelling the occupiers.

Finally, we stress the necessity of ending the siege and the control over Sana’a International Airport. We commend and deeply appreciate the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in taking the initiative to break the siege and transport the sick, the stranded, and the official and popular delegation participating in the funeral of the martyr, Sayyid Ali Khamenei, may Allah be pleased with him.

We affirm the continuation of flights between Sana’a and Tehran airports, Allah’s willing, to break the siege and alleviate the suffering of our dear, oppressed Yemeni people, whatever the consequences and repercussions.

An Iranian civilian aircraft was carrying more than 200 Yemeni patients and citizens stranded abroad landed at Sanaa International Airport on Friday, marking a historic breakthrough against the long-standing blockade imposed on Yemen’s airspace.

According to the Sanaa-based Saba News Agency, the flight transported patients requiring medical care, Yemenis who had been unable to return home, and an official Yemeni delegation traveling to Tehran to participate in the funeral ceremonies of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Sayyed Ali Khamenei.

The delegation departed Sanaa aboard the same aircraft after the passengers were disembarked, joining dozens of international delegations expected to attend the multi-day funeral ceremonies in Iran.

Flight follows Saudi interception attempt

The arrival came hours after Yemen’s Armed Forces accused Saudi warplanes of violating Yemeni airspace in an attempt to prevent the Iranian civilian aircraft from landing.

Military spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree said Yemeni air defense units launched several surface-to-air missiles toward the Saudi aircraft, forcing them to withdraw and allowing the Iranian plane to complete its landing safely.

In a subsequent statement, the Yemeni Armed Forces praised the Islamic Republic of Iran for taking the initiative to break the blockade by operating the flight, saying it carried patients, stranded civilians, and the official and popular Yemeni delegation traveling to Tehran.

The military also declared that flights between Sanaa and Tehran would continue “regardless of the consequences,” stating the route as part of broader efforts to ease the humanitarian suffering caused by the blockade.

Air blockade has remained in place since 2016

The Saudi-led coalition imposed restrictions on Yemen’s airspace on August 9, 2016, leading to the closure of Sanaa International Airport to commercial flights.

The blockade also halted the transport of commercial goods, medicines, and humanitarian supplies through the airport, contributing to a worsening humanitarian crisis and significant economic losses.

Although limited flights resumed to select destinations during later periods, the airport has repeatedly faced renewed closures and airstrikes that destroyed large sections of its infrastructure.

Sanaa International Airport serves as Yemen’s principal air gateway and is estimated to provide access for nearly 80% of the country’s population, approximately 20 million people.

Ansarallah-Led Forces Mobilize En Masse Across Yemen to ‘Expel Occupiers’

Yemeni tribes nationwide are mobilizing en masse to prepare for renewed conflict with the Saudi-led coalition, following a call from the Ansarallah leader for the “expulsion of occupiers.”

Multiple local reports on 29 June and statements from officials confirmed widespread popular movements and mobilization across Yemen.

SABA reported that a “massive armed gathering was organized on Monday by tribes of Al-Mansouriya district in Hodeidah to declare the full mobilization and complete readiness [for a battle] to reclaim the rights of Yemenis.”

The gathering was held as part of efforts to “end the [Saudi and Emirati-led] aggression and blockade.” The tribes additionally commended Iran’s “great victory” over the “tyrants of this era.”

Similar mobilizations of armed local tribes and Ansarallah members also took place in the capital, Sanaa, including in the Shuub district.

Khaled al-Madani, the First Undersecretary of the Capital in the Ansarallah-led Sanaa government, attended the Shuub gathering on Monday and urged Yemenis to reclaim their country and natural resources from Saudi and UAE-backed forces.

“Yemen [has] delivered a clear message to enemies and occupiers: the Yemeni people know their true enemy – who has been waging aggression against them for over ten years and imposing blockades,” he said.

“[The Saudi-led coalition] continues to plunder Yemen’s resources, transferring their revenues to the Saudi National Bank, while the people are deprived of their basic rights,” Madani added.

Armed rallies occurred in Sanaa, Dhamar, Hajjah, and Al-Jawf, where the Bani Nawf tribes pledged to follow Ansarallah leader Abdel Malik al-Houthi’s directives.

Houthi issued a call for mobilization in a speech on 25 June.

“We will not accept the continuation of the US-Saudi aggression, occupation, and blockade, and we will act within the framework of our grievance to rid ourselves of this by all legitimate means until our people enjoy freedom, independence, and a life of dignity,” the Yemeni resistance leader said.

“I commend the broad popular movement and widespread tribal gatherings within the framework of general mobilization. I call upon our people to close ranks, strengthen the home front, maintain the spirit of general mobilization, and continue … military training.”

Houthi also pledged to target any Israeli presence in Somalia amid increasing relations between Tel Aviv and Somaliland.

Ansarallah and the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) are “closely monitoring the situation in Somalia and the actions of the Israeli enemy aimed at controlling the Gulf of Aden and Bab al-Mandab,” Houthi declared.

Footage on social media reportedly shows Ansarallah-backed tribes and Sanaa government forces advancing toward the front lines.

Saudi Arabia launched a brutal war on Yemen in 2015, leading a Gulf coalition with the UAE as a major partner. This followed a popular revolution in 2014 that saw Ansarallah seize control of the government in Sanaa, ousting the Saudi-backed regime.

Riyadh also imposed a complete air and sea blockade on the Arab world’s poorest country, causing unprecedented famine, the spread of infectious diseases such as cholera, and the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Yemenis.

After nearly ten years of waging war against the YAF and creating separate Emirati and Saudi-supported proxy governments in Aden, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi began competing against each other for dominance and influence over Yemen late last year.

At the time, Ansarallah referred to the clash as a “crisis between occupiers.”

Sanaa has warned for years that it will not tolerate the foreign presence and would eventually move to fully expel Saudi Arabia and the UAE from the country.

Yemen Warns It Will Not ‘Stand Idly By’ as Zionist Regime Establishes Military Presence in Somaliland

The leader of Yemen’s Ansarallah, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, confirmed on 25 June that Sanaa “will not stand idly by” as zionist regime establishes a military presence in the breakaway region of Somaliland.

Houthi said that Ansarallah is following with “great interest” the developments in Somaliland, including Israeli efforts to control the Gulf of Aden and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Somaliland lies on the strategic Horn of Africa, facing Yemen across the Red Sea. The zionist entity aims to gain access to Somaliland territory to extend its influence and contest the Ansarallah-led Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) for dominance over the region’s waterways.

In a speech delivered to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein in 680 CE, Houthi warned that the YAF could target Israel’s presence in Somaliland at any time.

He noted ongoing coordination with the movement’s allies regarding a possible new confrontation, stressing that Yemen “will not hesitate to do its duty in any new escalation of aggression in any arena.”

Ansarallah is closely allied with Iran, Hezbollah, and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, collectively known as the Axis of Resistance.

In November 2023, Yemen’s armed forces closed the Bab al-Mandab Strait to the zionist regime, the US, and British-linked ships, targeting them with missiles and drones, in response to the genocide in Gaza.

Yemeni forces also confronted the US and European navies in the Red Sea, forcing their ignominious retreat.

Somaliland declared independence from Somalia in 1991 and has enjoyed autonomy from Mogadishu without international recognition since that time.

In December 2025, the zionist regime became the first UN member state to recognize Somaliland’s claim to independence. Mogadishu rejected the zionist move, calling it a violation of Somalia’s sovereignty.

This week, reports surfaced indicating that the entity covertly sent a small group of forces to Somaliland earlier in the year.

Yemen is in: Southern Occupied Palestine Struck With Ballistic Missiles

Yemen’s Armed Forces have carried out their first military operation since announcing readiness for direct military intervention in the ongoing US-zionist war on the Axis of Resistance, targeting military sites in southern occupied Palestine with a salvo of ballistic missiles.

Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree confirmed the operation on Saturday, stating that ballistic missiles struck “sensitive military objectives belonging to the zionist enemy in southern occupied Palestine.”

Saree said the operation coincided with ongoing resistance operations by fighters in Iran and Lebanon, stressing that it “successfully achieved its intended objectives.”

He affirmed that operations would continue “until the declared goals are met and until the aggression ceases across all fronts of the resistance.”

Earlier this morning, zionist media had reported missiles launched from Yemen toward the southern occupied territories, with sirens sounding in Eilat, the Wadi Araba region, and al-Naqab.

Saree’s warning

The strike follows a Friday warning from Saree that the Yemeni Armed Forces were prepared for direct military intervention should certain red lines be crossed.

He named three specific triggers: the formation of additional alliances alongside the US and the entity against Iran or Axis of Resistance states; the use of the Red Sea as a platform for hostile military operations against Iran or any Muslim country; and the continued escalation of the US-Israeli aggression.

Ansar Allah leader Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi had warned Thursday that the US and the zionist regime are advancing a “scheme to reshape the Middle East and establish the so-called Greater Israel,” stressing that Yemen is “not neutral” but stands with the Islamic nation.

Sayyed al-Houthi affirmed that any developments requiring a military response would be met with full readiness, as in previous rounds, while reiterating that Yemen’s military activity targets only US and zionist objectives, not Muslim-majority states or civilian populations.

Dying Colonialism: On the Iran War, Collaborationism and World Revolution

If the forces of the Resistance and the peoples of the region are heading in this direction (retaliation and Resistance), I assure you that the Americans will leave our region. They will leave the Middle East humiliated, defeated, terrified, running for their lives, as they have done in the past… When, and I describe it precisely, when the coffins of American soldiers and officers will begin to flow, when they’ll come in a vertical position and leave for the United States in a horizontal position, Trump and his Administration will know that they have lost the region… If we achieve this goal, and we will achieve it God willing, the Liberation of Al-Quds, of the Palestinian people, the full return of all Palestine and all the holy places of Palestine to the Arab-Muslim Nation will be very close, a stone’s throw away. The nature of this historic moment should not escape any of us and Hassan Nasrallah’s premonition about the prospect of humiliating US imperial forces in the battlefield has finally arrived. The war the US and its zionist colony impulsively unleashed on Iran is an unprecedented error that is solidifying the advancement of an evolving decolonial revolutionary process in West Asia. The Iranian Resistance and its allied militant formations have dragged imperialist forces into a protracted war in such a short timeframe that the world hasn’t been able to process the real significance yet. We are witnessing the continuation of a revolutionary process that was initiated by the Palestinian Resistance and now has world-historic implications. In light of this reality, the revolutionary movement in the US is at a challenging crossroad. Anti-colonial resistance is at its most acute phase in decades and the US world-system is no longer simply precarious, but on the verge of rapid systemic crisis. Every attack on the zionist colony is bringing us closer to world revolution and we have a responsibility to act. The movement in the US can no longer tolerate the duplicitous dance of class and colonial collaboration. Those who recoiled from the Black Revolution – during the armed period in the 70’s and the George Floyd Uprising – with all of its destructive and liberatory potential for the world, surely recoil at the potential destruction of “Tel Aviv” and the implications this has for world freedom.

To properly understand these dynamics we must look closely at the current war. The US and its zionist colony attacked Iran with the stated goal of overthrowing the state, destroying Iranian military capacity and severing its alliance with regional Resistance forces – the Axis of Resistance (Ansarallah, Hezbollah, the Palestinian Resistance and the Iraqi guerrilla organizations). Throughout the past year the US has focused on undermining Iran in a variety of ways. For instance, the US placed treasury sanctions on Iran last year with the publicly stated intention of destroying the Iranian economy and fostering an uprising. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent proudly detailed the scheme stating, “last March [2025], I said that I believe the Iranian currency was on the verge of collapse” because “President Trump ordered Treasury and OFAC division, Office of Foreign Asset Control, to put ‘maximum pressure’ on Iran.” He continued proclaiming that the plan succeeded “because, in December, their economy collapsed. We saw a major bank go under. The central bank [had] started to print money. There [was] a dollar shortage. They [we]re not able to get imports. And this is why the people took to the street.” The protests he’s referring to, from last December, were spearheaded by Washington’s economic war against Iran, or as Bessent referred to it US “economic statecraft.” This economic assault led the US and its colony to assume it could launch a war of aggression to overthrow the Iranian state, falsely believing their subterfuge had paid dividends.

The war has tremendously backfired. Iran and the Axis of Resistance was as formidable as most informed observers and revolutionaries alike knew all along. The goal of overthrowing the Iranian state by launching an indiscriminate aerial assault proved as absurd as expected. Washington and the zionist regime have essentially wandered into a self-inflicted trap. The imperialist forces erroneously assumed the Iranian state would capitulate from pressure and the masses would rise up in support of the western assault. In essence, their war planning was shrouded in a historical level of colonial hubris. Due to this certain outcomes seem rather clear now. Of course, predictions in politics are always a fools errand, but it is very difficult to envision a way for the US to escape this self-inflicted crisis. There are several factors at play that validate this presupposition.

The US and the zionist regime, as noted, launched an aggressive, widespread bombing campaign against Iran. Notably, the two states did not commit any ground troops to the war for a variety of reasons – it’s politically unpopular and practically impossible. The US also has a limited supply of munitions in the region for several reasons. The US has military bases and conflicts all over the planet, so the arms have to be distributed in a measured, careful fashion. Their air defense supplies are notoriously expensive, vulnerable and easily exhaustible. The Twelve Day War the US and the zionist regime launched against Iran last year ended precisely at the twelve day mark because the two states realized they were running out of air defense capacity quickly. The exchange rates between air defense on the US side versus drones and missiles from the Resistance forces is very unfavorable to the west. Iranian drones cost between $10k-$50 a piece with ballistics ranging from $250k and up. US air defense missiles can run between $1 million to $13 million a piece. Furthermore, it takes between two to ten air defense missiles to intercept a single drone or missile fired. US production cannot keep up with the rate of fire or the expenses necessary to fight an attritional conflict. We are also now around that same timeframe in this war and have passed the twelve day mark. The US is already publicly searching for an exit, but none exists.

Another important factor here is the sheer size of Iran and its indigenous weapons capacity. The country is approximately the size of western Europe with a population of 90 million people. A significant portion of the country is mountainous. In fact, the main points where a hostile ground force would likely invade is checkered by dense mountainous terrain. The areas looking over the Gulf states in Iran have significant vantage points, with huge mountains peaks towering over the flat, desert land of the Gulf states. This geography allows Iran to litter the mountains with missile and drone facilities that can fire downward at vast, open terrain. Crucially, Iran has expanded its indigenous weapons production capacity with most of it functioning underground. The country produces high end, extraordinarily advanced ballistic and hypersonic missiles, low end drones that are incredibly effective, and they notably supply their regional allies with these weapons.

The US and the zionist regime also lack, what is referred to as, escalatory dominance; meaning, the two states cannot increase their use of violence against their adversaries without fear of consequences. The region provides a rich target environment for Resistance forces and the US is rather impotent in terms of preventing attacks. For instance, the Strait of Hormuz is one of the tightest choke points in the world. Between 20-30% of the world’s oil and gas travels through this waterway. Iran has effectively blockaded the strait and the US is powerless to change the situation. The US threatens to increase its bombing campaign across Iran in response. But Iran can then torch the entirety of the Gulf oil fields which will make the blockade unnecessary and further destroy the international economy. The US can threaten to invade. Iran can drag US forces into a mountainous guerrilla war. The US threatens to target civilian infrastructure. Iran can destroy the Gulf state’s desalination plants which would potentially destroy the existence of the Gulf state’s in a rather short timespan. These states are between 75% to 90% dependent on desalinated water for their survival. In essence, the US has no real options to stop the war or prevent global economic collapse.

Regional Resistance forces are acting in concert with the Iranian campaign. Hezbollah has tied up the zionist state in a protracted guerrilla war in northern occupied Palestine and southern Lebanon. The Resistance has also bombarded the occupied territories with missiles and drones, destroying important equipment, depleting air defense capacity and forcing settlers out of the occupied northern settlements. The Iraqi Resistance, in tandem with Iranian strikes, have destroyed US military bases, oil facilities, US consulates, embassies and vital military equipment. The US is now in a multi-front war with no plausible strategy to address it or to exit. We also have not seen Ansarallah in Yemen or the Palestinian Resistance enter the conflict yet, which may come at a decisive moment.

The longer the oil and gas blockade continues the more severe the economic consequences will be for the world economy. As stated, the US has no clear way of changing this situation and we are racing towards an economic catastrophe that is incredibly unpredictable and world-historic. There are indications that the Resistance will demand a US retreat from the region, shattering its influence and and military posture in a dramatic historical turn. This would be tantamount to a modern decolonial revolution. The rising of the popular masses in Iran underlines this fact. And its also evidence of the unprecedented, growing weakness of US power projection. If Iran, a formerly semi-colonial state, and its Resistance allies can bring the US to its knees then revolutionary forces around the world should realize that the US is, in fact, a paper tiger. We have a responsibility, echoing the words of comrades on the frontlines, to carry forth the mantle of international revolution into the heart of the imperial core.

But how are we to do this if our politics are submersed and infected with the disease of collaborationism? The illness is not new. In fact, it is a rather complex ailment that has appeared amongst many revolutionary tendencies and takes many shapes and forms. Its most prominent emergence was during the Sino-Soviet split, as the socialist movement descended into internal feuding which ultimately led to its demise. The Cold War announcement of Khrushchevite “peaceful coexistence” with imperialism was a betrayal that Mao and Guevara – two fighters who represented the modern advancement of revolutionary war – could not tolerate. Guevara denounced Khrushchev’s Soviet Union as an“accomplice of imperial exploitation,” and Mao thought, what he deemed as Soviet liberalization, would eventually lead to its inevitable collapse. There’s no need to rehash the intricacies of this debate, but the heart of the feud is essentially the same tension that exists for us today – the tension about the centrality of imperialism to internationalist revolution and the persistent, stubborn reemergence of collaborationism with imperialist and colonial forces amongst the left.

It is this very tension that led to the collapse of the revolutionary left in West Asia as well. In Palestine, many of the organizations in the PLO (the coalition of nationalist, secular and leftwing parties) slowly drifted down the path of revisionist collaboration; first with the Ten-Point Program which recognized the existence of the zionist entity, then Oslo, leading to Fatah (the central Palestinian nationalist organization) becoming an arm of zionist settler-colonialism. Islamic Jihad and Hamas emerge atop the ashes of revolutionary socialist legitimacy in Palestine. The PKK, the vanguard of the Kurdish revolutionary movement, was granted access to the Bekaa training grounds by the PLO and fought arm in arm against NATO, zionism and imperialism in the 80s. Today it has emerged as the shock troops or cannon fodder for US and zionist imperial adventurism; linking the very survival of its project to the maintenance of the zionist colony and the fascist US world order – further eroding the revolutionary socialist base in the region. Bolivarian Venezuela, the bulwark defender of South American socialism, had become a global inspiration under Chavez, only to see its subsequent President kidnapped by US imperialism, seemingly in collusion with the vice president and members of the state.

In the US, this schism is ever present and, across tendencies imperialist social democracy has taken root – condemning “both sides” in the struggle against zionism in West Asia, supporting imperialist militarism and fascism in Europe, and/or refusing to actively, or even passively support resistance forces while they are engaging in heightened conflict. This tension underscores the significance of our era. As western forces are barreling down on Iran and the state and society are executing a historic armed resistance, we must forcefully advance and maintain the position that US imperialism remains the principal contradiction in the struggle today. Like a wounded animal thrashing blindly, the US is hastily trying to ensure its coercive dominance over the colonized and formerly colonized world. As Marco Rubio stated in Munich the US has “no interest in being polite and orderly caretakers of the west’s managed decline.” They have boastfully committed to overconfident militarism and reimposing direct colonial relations.

Therefore, revolutionaries in the imperial core cannot tolerate “revolutionary” values and projects that do not accept choosing sides in a battle of this importance. The perfidy displayed by the US in their negotiations with Iran has been, and cannot remain, analogous to the half measures western radicals have displayed in terms of their opposition to imperialism or their positionality in regards to the Palestinian Revolution. The Resistance in Gaza broke down the walls of colonial dominance for Palestine and for the world at large. Imperialist social democracy in the west chooses to only see Palestinians as helpless victims and not the pinnacle of our revolutionary future. The victimized subject is easy to comprehend; to pity; to forget. The armed subject, the true force for liberation, is treated as a separate entity from the colonial society, divorced from their people and imposed from above – entirely illegitimate. While, in actuality, the armed front is the highest expression of revolutionary, therefore human, advancement. The Palestinian Revolution cannot be separated from its armed movement and the attempt to do so is a violent act of colonial imposition.

As Iran’s war of liberation proceeds, we must also clarify that the Palestinian Revolution and the Iranian Resistance are, in fact, the same front. The attempt to separate these struggles is also an act of ideological colonialism, and in the context of the current war, egregious complicity. The war is primarily over Iranian support for the Palestinian Resistance. There isn’t a single project in the world that has armed Gaza other than Iran and the US and its zionist colony, being wedded together as genocidal settler-colonial states believe the Greater “Israel” project can only succeed, can only sufficiently create Lebensraum, through the death of Palestine. The Axis of Resistance, like the Palestinian Joint Operations Room, is the multi-tendency anti-colonial alliance that is confronting this white supremacist expansion while trying to forcefully rid the region of western domination.

Martyred Palestinian activist Nizar Banat defended Iran’s role arguing that, “Iran is the only country in the world that has a permanent clause in its budget, from the budget of the Iranian people’s bread, that pledges to support the Palestinian Revolution, regardless of its orientation, whether it was Fatah, the PFLP, the communists, anyone. It never intervened in our ideological conceptions of resistance… it is a nation with dignity and honor, and knows clearly that the American presence is the problem. That the ‘Israeli’ presence is the problem.” Hamas leader, Martyr Yahya Sinwar declared “if not for Iran’s support for the Resistance in Palestine we would not have obtained these capabilities. Indeed, our (Arab) nation has deserted us. Our nation has deserted us in our difficult moments, while Iran has supported us with weapons, equipment, and expertise.” Ali al-Imad, Ansarallah political bureau member, stated, “The path is one, and coordination exists within a unified front. The Yemeni decision is strongly present, but it is part of a broader vision based on acting as one nation confronting a single enemy… This approach has been tested and proven effective, and it was previously adopted in the support front in support of Gaza.”

This clarity of purpose is found amongst socialist tendencies as well. The PFLP informs us that, “The joining of Lebanese, Yemeni, Iranian, and Iraqi resistance forces to support Gaza reflects unity in destiny and depth in solidarity. This confirms Palestine is not alone against occupation.” Yahya Mansour Abu al-Asba, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Yemeni Socialist Party, declared that his party “stands firmly with the Islamic Republic of Iran and stands against the American-‘israeli’ aggression and against the criminal mobilizations aimed at eliminating our Arab peoples.” While in a joint statement the coalition of Palestinian Resistance Factions denounced “the criminal zionist attack on Iran” which happened because Iran takes a “principled stand with Palestine and our resistance. Iranian missiles brought joy to Gaza’s children.” They concluded by “urg[ing] all free peoples to: unite behind Iran’s armed forces. Abandon petty divisions… [and] stand against zionist-western hegemony.” In words and in deed these positions are as clear as day and cannot be ignored.

Without a doubt, from Al-Aqsa Flood to the current Iranian-led war front, the Axis of Resistance has risen to the vanguard of anti-colonial struggle. Anti-colonial conflict does not necessitate a socialist, Marxist, or anarchist attire to retain legitimacy. Nat Turner, Malcolm X, Pancho Villa, or the Mau Mau have all retained admiration in the popular insurgent memory without subscribing to our doctrines. It is through our own acts of Resistance that our politics rise and this must be through complicity in struggle not in conflict with the oppressed. Iran has decimated US bases in the region and is poised to utterly destroy the world economy. Hezbollah has now forced the zionist colony to fight a protracted guerrilla war on its north while raining missiles down on the occupied cities of Palestine. The war has progressed so quickly, and intensely, with so much financial damage to the US that questions about the stability of the US-led world order are rapidly emerging. With potential world-changing dynamics at hand, revolutionaries in the imperial core must move in tandem with the Resistance.

Not taking sides in a revolutionary upheaval is taking a side. The position of indifference, or even antagonism, to the Resistance becomes part of the imperial war effort. While oppressed bodies fill mass graves, in a valiant fight to liberate the region from the domination of Euro-colonial power, the western left stands unmoved, nose in the air, pondering why the petulant savages haven’t adopted the same discourse and failed political strategies prevalent in their own societies? Revolutionaries in the core must begin to seriously look to the Axis for direction as their struggle has presently reached unprecedented heights.

In the US there is notable ambiguity about our revolutionary horizon, but there are concrete positions and likely fissures emerging soon that we must not overlook. While a segment of the revolutionary milieu has focused on identity politics as a primary obstacle for revolutionary momentum a more precise diagnosis would juxtapose the colonial collaborationism amongst the left, in regards to international struggle with the white class collaboration that has maintained, and strengthened the settler-colonial project at home.Therefore, the process of building a revolutionary project in the US cannot focus on the demographic that has remained a historical accomplice with the capitalist class since the states inception. The class struggle here will have to wed the liberation of the Black colonies, the indigenous Nations, and the Latino independence struggles into a unified front of rebellion, all in alliance with anti-colonial forces abroad.

During the George Floyd Uprising we watched the police retreat under the blows of the Black resistance and uniting this struggle with other oppressed struggles is paramount. In actuality the US police, like the zionist colony, are more vulnerable than they initially appear. The police collapsed from the strength of the revolutionary Black masses and largely regained order due to the disorganization and weakness of revolutionary forces in the streets.

At the time of the George Floyd Uprising the revolutionary left was unprepared for his murder and the populations militant response. The coming crisis on our hands today is clear as day. The Axis of Resistance has brought the US to the verge of disaster, and even if these problems prove to not be as acute as they initially appear, possibilities will remain open in the future. We must be ready to act. Every locale is unique, therefore, each place requires specific thought and consideration that is greater than the scope of this text. We are not trying to chart out concrete directions for the entirety of the movement in detail but we’d like to offer some brief suggestions that can be used as a basis for discussion and strategizing.

1. The necessity to build coherent, capable revolutionary organizations is extremely important. Comrades who have functional organizations should consider uniting with likeminded forces and immediately begin discussions about establishing organized militant components to their aboveground formations. These militant, underground formations can serve as the basis for sustaining protracted struggle against the state. If organized well these formations can escalate the crisis and put pressure on the state to retreat in the West Asian theater.
2. Aboveground formations or other loose milieus can start large scale propaganda efforts connecting the Axis of Resistance War with the anti-ICE struggle, the Black Liberation Movement, the struggles on the reservations and the growing economic inequality plaguing the class. Prominent street campaigns with graffiti, posters, or whatever is at your disposal will suffice. However, pushing the line that connects these issues in the society is key.
3. Direct action campaigns against targeting the entire edifice of zionism domestically in the US – supportive businesses, politician offices, schools, media, etc., should happen immediately. The people in West Asia must know that we are combating this colonial scourge in solidarity with their struggle.
4. If mass looting commences revolutionaries should participate and use the actions as a means of socialization of the insurgent economy. Revolutionary politics, in the popular imagination, are best shaped through revolutionary practice. To break the bourgeois, individualistic mentality in this society we can socialize looted resources and create new proletariat forms of solidarity through action and distribution. This can demonstrate that we offer an alternative political form in real time. The redistribution and reallocation of market supplies can also be used to create a supply chain for frontline actions against the state, buttressing the rear in the ongoing conflict.
5. The 3rd precinct in Minneapolis was burned to the ground in the George Floyd Uprising. If the rebellion reaches a similar stage the resistance should target detention centers, jails and prisons. Freeing people from the capitalist dungeons will further the rebellion, strengthen the front, and help establish a new underground railroad.

We cannot permit any distance between ourselves and the Palestinian and Iranian frontlines. The Black Liberation Army found the sincerest expression of international solidarity from the PFLP and that history of solidarity, traversing the streets from Harlem to Khan Younis, illustrates what should be our template for resistance today. The anti-colonial struggle in the US, with Black Resistance and anti-ICE formations at the forefront, must merge its efforts with the Axis of Resistance today, beyond the rhetorical scope and into the strategic and material. That is only plausible if we overcome, or defeat the collaborationist disorder that permeates within our networks. The police and ICE have effectively declared war on its internal Black colonies, and its migrant labor force, while West Asia deals with the full brunt of US military power abroad. War and revolution, as should be understood, are undeniably bedfellows. The two historical processes regularly merge into one another. The Palestinian Revolution reignited by the Al-Aqsa Flood operation has opened the door to a prolonged protracted war that has shifted into an Iranian popular upheaval against colonialism. This may lead to a regional revolution that destroys the brutish zionist colony and upends the US world order. It must be our objective to ensure that this regional war turns into a World Revolution. Our house must be properly in order to achieve this.

Ansarallah official says Yemen in ‘declared state of war’

Ali al-Imad, head of Yemen’s Central Organization for Control and Auditing and member of the Ansarallah political bureau, told The Cradle in an exclusive interview on 4 March that Sanaa is already in a “declared state of war.”

His comments signal potential intervention from Yemen, at some point, in the ongoing regional war sparked by the US-Israeli aggression on Iran.

“Sanaa considers itself to be in a declared state of war, and the decision to escalate depends on battlefield conditions,” he said when asked about opening a front.

Asked about why Sanaa’s forces have not already entered the fight directly, Imad told The Cradle:

“From the very first day, the leader of Ansarallah, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, announced our full readiness for confrontation. We consider ourselves to be in a declared state of war and confrontation, but determining the time and place of engagement is subject to the leadership’s decision and the conditions of the battle. We believe we are one front, and we fight our enemies only within a unified collective path.”

He responded to speculation that Yemen’s position is linked to Gulf states directly entering the war offensively by saying that this “battle is not Arab versus Arab, nor is it between Islamic countries.”

“The confrontation is with the US, with its direct military presence and its roles in the region. We do not link our position to any Gulf decision, and there has been no bilateral communication or offers from those regimes, nor could we accept such things,” he went on to say.

“We consider standing with Iran a religious and national duty because it is on the front line confronting a project that targets the entire region, whether under the banner of ‘Greater Israel’ or the ‘New Middle East.’ We will remain steadfast in supporting the Axis of Resistance in confronting Israel, the US, and some western countries,” he added.

The Cradle also asked the Ansarallah member if the delay in Yemeni military intervention was Sanaa’s decision, or if Yemen was waiting for a decision or request from the Axis of Resistance.

“The path is one, and coordination exists within a unified front. The Yemeni decision is strongly present, but it is part of a broader vision based on acting as one nation confronting a single enemy. Victory can only be achieved through integration and coordination.”

When questioned about Yemen’s red lines, he said, “Our strategy is based on clear phases of escalation. When the enemy crosses certain lines, we move to a new stage.”

“This approach has been tested and proven effective, and it was previously adopted in the support front in support of Gaza.”

After the genocide started in Gaza in 2023, the Ansarallah-led Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) was among the first groups to intervene militarily – alongside Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Iraqi resistance factions.

The YAF implemented an unprecedented naval blockade on Israel, and began to target vessels linked to Israeli interests or those which were en route to Israeli ports. The operations inflicted a major blow to global shipping and the Israeli economy, while European and US naval deployments failed to deter Sanaa.

Yemen also targeted Washington’s warships, with US officials saying at the time that it was the most intense naval combat since World War II.

US President Donald Trump launched a major war against Yemen in March 2025, killing hundreds of civilians in a massive bombing campaign that failed to prevent the YAF from continuing its operations.

The interview with Imad comes as Iran launches non-stop drone and missile operations against Israeli targets and US bases in the Gulf, in response to the unprovoked war initiated by Washington and Tel Aviv against Tehran days ago.

Iraqi resistance factions have also targeted US bases with drones.

Hezbollah has begun military operations as well and has targeted several Israeli Merkava tanks on the Lebanese southern border.

Joint rocket and missile barrages by Hezbollah and Iran were launched toward Israel on Wednesday for the first time.
