Auf meine alten Tage klimpere ich nur noch so für mich hin und benutze #GarageBand und das alte #Ampkit+ (die inoffizielle Peavey-App, voll ausgestattet) zum Aufnehmen. Zum neuen #IRig gehörte #Amplitube. Lohnt sich da 'ne Investition? Bei den „Tretminen“ ist man schnell 'n Vermögen los und mir ist‘s egal, ob auf 'nem Topteil „Marshall“ oder „Colonel“ draufsteht. Ist das wirklich besser?

Help me out here #GearSquad. I have my #MustangMicroPlus on an empty preset (the #FenderTone app just shows "studio preamp" in its chain. It's connected to my PC with USB, and I have #ASIO4ALL up with the MMP selected for both in and out. When I open #Amplitube 5, I just get a feedback loop from my PC speakers (no matter what output I have selected in the OS sound settings).

Saw the sale on #ToneX + #Amplitube and decided to re-visit using the #MustangMicro with #ASIO4All. Glad I did. Finally managed to figure out the #ASIO control panel to have the output going to my speakers this time around. Pretty fun dicking around with all the amps and effects! However, the reverb is really thick out of the box. Seems to vary greatly from amp to amp but I don't think some of these amps should actually have reverb on board. Maybe I need to tweak the mics.

What are our feelings on #Amplitube? I feel like the demo version does a really good job of showing what it _could_ be doing for you if only you coughed up a Benjamin (or two).
Which, honestly, may not be a terrible deal. I don't play #guitar live and am not interested in acquiring a set of guitar pedals but it would be nice to have a decent selection of sounds for recording demos.

This autumn i've contemplated going from solid state to a tube amp for my guitars. But having a license on a DAW also made me think .. do i really NEED a new amp? Turns out; i don't. Had a friend show me a program thats both standalone and plugin for DAWs. Bought it. I now have all amps and sounds available from my desktop. Just need a bigger speaker!
