@iska @fdroidorg No chance on blocking by domain (there are millions if not billions of them). It would have to be done by a very long list of CIDRs, but with what firewall? We’d have to scrap #Droidwall & #Afwall (root req. & not everyone has root). Can orWall or rethinkDNS handle that? AFAIK the only solid way for unrooted devs is to build a gateway transport & run a VPN.

Ребзя, кто (вдруг) использует #AFWall+, какие у вас разрешения даны, и при этом нормально скачиваются картинки с мастадона.
Перевожу. Что с Tusky, что с fedilab не могу скачать картинки, приходится делиться ссылкой, методом тыка выяснил, что это при рабочем #AFWall, и кто может что подсказать? Самому tusky естественно дан доступ в инет. -

I replaced my #oneplus2 battery, fine tuned #lineageos by using #afwall firewall and now I have about 31 hours autonomy with VPN, gps, WiFi and mobile data always on. True that I don't use the phone much, so screen time is little, but I believe I can get at least 8 of intense usage with a single charge. Not bad, right? What do you think?

@the_white_wolf I heard well of #grapheneos . A friend installed it on a pixel, I think and works like a charm. It seems slicker and easier than my setup however I wouldn't run any rom without #AFwall+ . This firewall is just gold (and I advise to purchase the premium version to support the developer) and gives you so much freedom because it allows to decide which app can connect on which net-device and in which occasion (via firewall profiles). So cool and reliable but it requires root.

Um z.B. #Titanium, #Warden und #AFWall nutzen zu können. Damit hab ich bislang noch keine schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht.

Die einzige Google App, bei der ich echt keine adäquate Alternative kenne, ist Google Camera. Das Ding ist leider wirklich unerreicht gut.
Darum benutze ich das auch.Gleiches gilt für MS Lens. Da gibt es einfach nichts im Open Source Sektor, was dem nahe kommt.
Aber weil ich auch #Blokada, #Warden und die #AFWall (Gürtel-Hosenträgerlösung) nutze, tut mir das nicht wirklich sehr weh.

Je dirais plutôt #afwall+, en bloquant les apps une à une et en regardant qui tag dessus ! -
