  1. I'm breaking 2 cardinal rules here both by launching on a Friday and doing so when I'm not going to be around for the next few days to help or answer questions, but my followers are adventurous and will be fine. If the server breaks, I'll be back Monday.

I'm finally ready for alpha testing of my port of Quenzar's caverns. there is a web interface at quenzar.top

If you load that page and click "What is Quenzar's Caverns?" you'll find a link to the full original help file from the old 1994 game, which explains all the game mechanics, monsters, items and so forth. I'm now at the stage where I want people to go try playing and seeing what doesn't work.

The web interface has a standard input area for you to type into, and one tabstop away a keyboard-aware command pallet where you can control many of the game's function through single-key shortcuts. Hitting the question mark on this pallet lists which keys do what. You can just type if you prefer, but it feels a bit more "game-like" by moving around the map with the cursor etc.

If you've got half an hour and want to have a go at a 30 year old dungeon crawler, please feel free to make a character and have a look.

Don't reuse passwords; the reconnect option in the browser saves your login.

Don't expect modern sounds yet, we're just working on the classic for now. Eventually I'd like to add ambient music and more random noises, but we're just using the old files from August 1994 for the time being.

Don't expect visuals, if you can see enough for them to matter, you can go play the original game in an emulator (there's an archive link on the page). This port is a screen reader friendly recreation of the original using a different interface.

If you really want to play the original, it runs quite well under OTVDM on modern Windows.

Other than that, go have a play in some Dungeons! It's a great time killer. I pop in between tickets at work for 5 minutes of downtime. I used to plot out maps on graph paper as a kid, so perhaps I need to start taking it a bit more seriously again!

  11. i built an adaptive training mode for Whack A Braille and called it Mole Recon! If you miss any moles, you can start a training round from the round results screen so you can whack them again. If you didn't miss moles, you can start a grudge match and select any or all of the moles from that round to show them what's for again! Plus, we have new prizes, including shiny ones that cost 500 tickets! Can you collect them all! Plus I added in even more Dynamic Type support and #VoiceOver focus fixes. #braille #Blind #A11y #AccessibleGames #iOS apps.apple.com/us/app/whack-a-

  16. New updates to WordBopper! @ChanceyFleet had a great new challenge idea called BopAway, where bopping a letter adds it to the word you are building but the bubble gets replaced instantly in the grid with a new letter. It can help make longer words if you are lucky, but can lead you to throwing out your whole word if you make a mistake. Bop wisely! The 3x chained word bonus is also easier to get, so yay to more points! #AccessibleGames apps.apple.com/us/app/wordbopp

  26. I've just installed RetroArch and enabled its accessibility on one of my macs, as I've been wanting to play games with this thing for a while.
Anyone have some recommendations for some accessible games and cores on it?
I haven't set up any of its AI stuff, as it seems a bit complicated to me, so I'm only using standard accessibility in there.

  45. I wish I was better at mud gaming because once I get the hang of it I actually find it fun. I used to play cosmic rage for a minute but I stopped. I really enjoyed collecting trash and making shit tons of money. I need a game like that where I can collect or Mine for things and then I can exchange those things to make money and buy stuff in game. I like shopping but I don’t want to actually shop so I need something that will give me the feeling of shopping and buying fun clothing or whatever, without actually buying the things. Does this even make sense? It’s Not even seven in the morning yet help a sister out? #gaming #accessiblegames #gamingblind

  55. What's up everyone. Just discovered *Glory: Frontline*, a brand new accessible audio game for blind and low vision players! 🎮🔥

It's a fast-paced, real-time strategy war game where you command troops, make quick decisions, and conquer territories—all through immersive 3D audio. What makes it stand out is how it’s been designed **from the ground up** with accessibility in mind. No visuals needed—just your ears, reflexes, and strategy.

This is a huge step forward in inclusive gaming. Definitely check it out!
Here's a link to the official sight. there's a beta that you can join... deadline is June 27th. I'll also send a youtube link that goes over the controls.
