After upgrading Wine to version 10, I deleted my old folder and made a new 32-bit environment, into which I installed two #retrogames #audiogames and they both seem to work. Had to add some Windows runtime dependencies, too. #ComputerPlay

As yall have probably noticed, the freeware version of A Hero's Call currently has a couple of bugs, in a nostalgic throwback to the game's original release.
Just watch that original thread for updates, as Ian Reed is working on them and has already released a new version fixing the slow walking and NVDA SAPI crash issues. Remember, auto updating is gone, so you'll need to manually update from now on.

Hi #BK2 players! I am trying to complete a game without cheating, which I have never done before. I'm about to play 24-4, which means I will lose access to all stages except stage 25. Is there anything I should take care of before tackling this last stage? Right now, I have over 1500 HP. I'm thinking I should try to get my HP to 10000, but certainly nothing under 5000. I took to playing Bokurano Daiboukenn II again recently in an attempt to complete the game without using cheats, and I'm almost there! I have a question though. Why are the initials for the game #BK2? Is that something Nyanchan-San came up with himself, or did players make that abbreviation? If it was Nyanchan-San, understandable, but if it was the players, that doesn't actually work. Bokurano (僕らの) and Daiboukenn (大冒険) are technically 2 separate words, right? #Games #AudioGames #Blind #Japanese
