I had a breakfast sandwich and large coffee from Starbucks w/ heavy cream this morning. I looked at the sandwich, looked at the coffee, and checked my CGM reading. Then just kinda instinctively knew I needed to take 6 units of insulin to get back to the baseline my doctor wants me at.
So I dosed and forgot about it. Checked my reading two and a half hours after breakfast and I was within 5% of where I thought I would be!
#t1d #diabetes sucks. But it has made me far more in tune w/ my body!

Into the Woods - My Diagnosis Story
> In a weird way, what helped me feel a little better was my ER doctor bluntly saying, "I don't know why they told you to come here." There was a pretty good reason, it turns out, but we're getting ahead of ourselves.

Nothing beats building apps that you use yourself. Since I integrated medication and adherence into Glu Sight, even when I am having an overly busy day, I still get through all my oral medications because of the nudges. 💙

The downside of having your blood glucose in check is that when you inevitably don't for a bit, you feel like absolute dogshit. #t1d
