When I was very young, 8 years old or so, I went to my great-grandma place in Burgundy, in a small village in the countryside. It was summer and some night the garden was full of fireflies.
It was beautiful and magical.

I learned recently that the population of fireflies in France has been reduced by 80%.

Maybe my generation is the last generation to see a summer night of dancing fireflies in Burgundy. It's tragic.

From time to time I see comments from (mostly) Americans freaking out about finding dirt, a spider or a slug in some salad and I find that attitude bothersome to me.

We're not the only being sharing this planet, and it doesn't bother me much when there's a bug in my food (depending on the bug), if there's a hole in my apple I'll cut it until I find the bug digging in it and put it aside and eat my apple. We're not the only beings on this planet

I bought a kg of dates fruits at the grocery store. They were pretty dry but dates are always really good. I stopped eating them when I found a larvae in one of them (I guess the english word is maggot but I don't like that word, "asticot" is cuter). Anyway, I put the box aside and to my surprise it wasn't a fly that came out of it but a cloth moth. I haven't seen that kind of moth in forever but I'll have to put it outside before it starts eating my cloth or my flour.

But now it looks like they died, idk why (maybe from the AC?) and I have mosquitoes again.

When I do math/physics exercises at home I rarely get anything wrong but I can't manage more than 3/20 during most finals.

I can't fully articulate how frustrating it is. I have the knowledge, I know I can solve it. But for some reason during the finals, words I'm reading don't make sense and I can't find the words to write down as answers and the knowledge is there, it's very close but I can't reach it.

It's so frustrating.

I can feel the part of my brain that are causing problem (i've always been able to, so never found it suspicious) and since it's only on the left hemisphere, I'm learning to write with my left hand in the hope that even if my memory and my understanding of language go on strike next final, I might still be able to write.
It's not much but it would be something.

I went back to uni, but I've been having issues where I freeze during finals. I thought it was anxiety. But it happened even when pretending to do finals.

The Uni over-uses neon lights, all the libraries are underground. When I go there I get sick after a few hour. I haven't found a solution.

So I went to my GP who's pretty good tbh and he wrote me a neurologist. I managed to take an appointment.
