Welcome to the Valley of Pain
An explosion of #AI-powered hacks will reshape life online.
This week could go down as the worst in the history of #cybersecurity. On Wednesday, news emerged about two major vulnerabilities in #PHP used by 70% of websites, which prompted governments, hospitals, and companies around the world to take digital services offline as a precaution. There have already been millions of attempts to exploit these weaknesses.

The only problem with this article is that the author still somehow tries to deny the obvious: Trump is just an FSB agent. He is 100% owned by Putin. He's also a convicted career criminal who would've been behind bars right now if rule of law were real.
Once you ackhnowledge these uncomfortable facts, the entire "mistake" rhetoric is out of the window. Crime is no mistake, it's crime. Treason is no mistake, it's treason.

There's a bit of self-interest on the part of some of the expertise here but that does not negate the main payload.
Time for some bracing trench warfare.
I wonder how many millions of unrecoverable hours of precious human life from limited budgets are on tap for being wasted? For my part last week's occasion involved about 10 hours of overdraft.
‘… the CIA’s operations are now “much more aggressive” than they were during the Biden administration.
‘As the ODNI has declined in size and relevance, the CIA, with Ratcliffe in charge, has reclaimed its traditional role at the center of the intelligence community.
'And his relationship with Trump and low-profile manner have probably helped keep the president from attacking the agency.
‘The director was using a line of communication informally known as “the channel,” which allows Russian and American spies to talk candidly, away from the scrutiny of the press or the grandstanding of politicians. Putin, an ex-KGB officer, would understand that Ratcliffe had come not as a diplomatic envoy but as a fellow spy, with a message he felt was important for Putin to hear.
‘Broadly speaking, current and former officers told me, morale is highest in the operations directorate, among the officers who conduct the espionage that Ratcliffe wants to emphasize. Personnel in the Special Activities Center, which conducts covert and paramilitary activities, are particularly satisfied, recently retired officers told me, perhaps because they’re so busy, and not only in Ukraine.
‘Analysts strive for objectivity. But intelligence as a practice is not truly apolitical, because it’s an instrument of presidential power. The most successful CIA directors know how to tell their bosses the truth while also serving their interests’.

i don't know why people follow me, but I'm here to say The Atlantic reporting about PHP needs to be torn to shreds.
Surý spends his entire interview dismantling the reporter's presumptions: he says people could get PHP elsewhere or compile it themselves, of course, credits the PHP project for bringing him into the pre-release group, naturally, names Freexian as ready to take over, because why not, and says the day wasn’t stressful!
Then The Atlantic reporter still tries to gin up "oh no" FUD and hero worship? WTAF. The Atlantic used to be abolitionist, and here it's pumping a slavery model. I wouldn't line my birdcage with what they wrote.
Surý names exploitation and then the article turns him into the deserving servant and invites the public to tip him! Tipping is slavery. I guess I'll write it up, as I cancel my Atlantic subscription.
