  2. En onneksi ole ainoa, jolle ikä tekee tepposet ja kauan aikaa sitten on sama kuin ihan vasta:

”Harald Zisler already presented Miller in detail in a previous issue of #LinuxMagazine”, kertoo toimittaja uusimmassa Linux Magazinen numerossa. Mainittu juttu #Miller-nimisestä ohjelmasta on *vuodelta 2016*, kymmenen vuoden takaa! 😜 #atkjuttuja #EiOleVanhaksiTulemista

  3. Since I've found LINUX MAGAZINE - @linuxmagazine - along with, obviously, LINUX FORMAT, I got hooked up a lot! Just got a latest issue of the Linux Magazine, again, it's terrific, half of the things I have no clue about (lol), which makes further researching and learning so much fun!
I'm gonna miss those mags in print once I move back home...

At first sight, there are not many unexpected results, but it is nevertheless an interesting insight.

  8. I bought this #Dutch #LinuxMagazine yesterday. Someone pointed it to me at a @nllgg meeting and I was reminded when seeing it wasting time at a bookstore at the station before my train came.

So far it's been a fun way to dive a bit into topics of stuff I don't regularly use. Despite being a daily #Linux and #FOSS user for years and having quite a decent knowledge of what I do, there are so many things one can do with it you'd rarely come across them all just by using it.

  9. I grabbed the latest #Dutch #LinuxMagazine yesterday. This time the theme is #security. Haven't had a change to read it yet, but the last one was and this is on of my favourite areas. So looking forward.

  10. I want to make a #LinuxMagazine, but without stuff about #Fedora, #RHL, etc. #Nix and #FP-centric perhaps?

And certainly not monthly because I have a ton of other engagements. Let's write together?

  11. Toot at me your favorite evergreen @linuxmagazine issues!

With "evergreen", I mean ones that contain methodology reviews, breakthrough technology reviews, fundamental (rather than the flavour of the week) howtos, etc.

I've finally learned how to buy them in the #UK, so I'll buy the one I'm most interested in in digital and paper and some other ones in paper for home decor and retro feeling when I used to be jealous of my neighbour for having stacks of #xakep magazine.

  13. I was gifted a number of issues of 2000s Linux Magazine!!! All shall be scanned :)

Not sure if these have been preserved already or not. I saw a few on archive.org (and I recall some big Linux publication shutting down years ago and providing full PDFs of all issues, was that this Linux Magazine?)

My favorite evergreen issue of #LinuxMagazine is actually pretty recent. It's issue #267, which is called "Backups".

Amazing survey of tools I knew of but didn't know how to use and tools that I didn't even know existed like syncthing.net/.

Going beyond #rsync in backups sure feels great. Grab your own digital copy here: sparkhaus-shop.com/uk/catalog/
