For the final trick, a waxed chain!
Took a quick, fully loaded test ride on gravel, pavement, up/down hills and it is eerie how quiet it is.
I ordered a pre-waxed chain to see how goes. Future me can figure out how to maintain it.

I bought a new pair of bike gloves. Got larger size, maybe to accommodate the fine print? Seven pages of double sided fabric sheets to carefully seam rip out.

Device wouldn't charge so I tried a new cable and let it sit for a while ... until I smelled burning. Pulled USB cable out, burned thumb, and decided that's enough t-shooting for an old 520, time for dissection. The screen was on as I peeled it away to take the rest of it apart. Just screen, circuit board, piezo, and battery (which was warm).

Trying Clik valves. Kit came with tiny tool to unscrew existing presta & tighten new clik, exchanged without losing much air. The Schwalbe clik pump adaptor is plastic, which is fine for a hand pump. The little battery pump uses a metal adaptor, probably since they can get hot. But I figure I'll just fill a bit, check temp, make sure plastic isn't melting. Which worked fine topping off first tire. On second tire the pump kept stopping, making me think it's overheating. I'd guess the metal adaptor is part of the device's heatsink and plastic ain't cutting it (second photo shows closeup, Schwalbe is also much longer).
Let everything sit a while and pump returned to normal, but probably not something you want to depend on. I have wolf tooth aluminum adaptor on order, just hasn't come in yet. -
I experimented printing a removable, short kick stand earlier this year, but found the print's rigidity or working torque angle wasn't up to the job. Since I bring collapsable poles for a Durston tent, it just needs an appropriate cradle to hold bike. Granted, it's not holding up the bike once tent is set up. ";^)
