If Epstein is bringing down Mandelson - and possibly Starmer and the UK government - then at the very least we should cancel the contracts the UK has with Palantir since they and Peter Thiel are inextricably linked to Epstein.
How safe is it to have £670m in contracts spanning our health, defence, and nuclear systems with a company linked to Russia that were facilitated by Mandelson?

I went to a networking event this weekend. Presumably one or more people typed my very public email address into LinkedIn, probably to try and find me (even though I told lots of people I don't have LinkedIn).
LinkedIn sent me a people you know email. Rude. I tried to sign in, to verify that I don't somehow have an account.
IT AUTOMATICALLY CREATED AN EMPTY ACCOUNT FOR ME AND THINKS I LIVE IN VALLEJO.
Fuck you LinkedIn. Fuck you so hard.

in any other context, Instacart's checkout flow - silently toggling on a subscription, after showing prices - would be criminal fraud. we wouldn't use the euphemism "darkpattern."
if an individual ran this scam, they'd reasonably expect criminal charges, not a civil fine.

Man is Google fucking desperate. They were spamming me Gemini marketing stuff to my personal (backup email on my gmail account) email account because I *one time* accidentally clicked yes to their "PLEASE LET US SHOVE GEMINI INTO YOUR PHONE'S ORIFICES" popup that had nagged me 7527 times, months ago, and have never actively used any Gemini anything on my personal account or device.
I loathe that none of this shit is meaningfully opt in. Even in the cases where it is opt in, it's dark patterned so hard that eventually they'll trick you. #Bastards #AI #Hype #DarkPatterns
