  1. Trader Joe's actually reverted to the old the hummus recipe, at least in Seattle stores. tahini is the second ingredient again.

imagine the drop in product sales required to get a company to even notice, let alone correlate it with the recipe change and then undo it.

  2. Folklife Festival (Seattle) next weekend and all I want is a simple PDF schedule, or even a static web page. every year, it's the same 4000-pixel-wide timeslot-ignorant glitchfest: nwfolklife.org/festival/schedu

god help you if you want to see all the performers in the same time slot or want to read about the performers without clicking on every. single. cell.

  3. and the point of watching "autopsies" of $1,000 - $5,000 mattresses isn't to learn, it's to build confidence.

people know that, with DIY, they can adjust the mattress (as coils "break in" or preferences change) and can choose components that last, like latex layers.

the thing that many don't know is that there's no "magic" - like novel engineering or components - in name-brand mattresses. that's where the videos come in 🙂 watch a couple, you'll realize that it's hard to do worse.
