Random rampway that leads up to more seating, the museum (a must see!), and other things. The other thing we realized/confirmed with other veterans is that they no long have gunfights with Black Bart and the sheriff, culminating with Bart falling in the water. Contemporary america, esp in Denver, feels sudden shootouts very differently now. 8/x #CasaBonita #RoadTrip

Here’s one of the animatronic guys in his booth. he sells large souvenir coins. You have to buy a Casa Bonita debit card from another machine to use on the various things like this in the restaurant. Here is a view of the cliff diver’s waterfall. We were seated on the floor above this vantage… i think. It’s disorienting. One thing veteran Casa people in our group agreed on: they lowered the ceiling! Divers used to jump from where the water falls from, but now they dive from below that. We guessed that they lowered the ceiling to add in HVAC and sprinklers to bring things up to code. 6/x #CasaBonita #RoadTrip

One of the biggest changes once inside is that there is no longer a cafeteria line for food! you are taken right to your table, and you order from a menu. And the food is SO MUCH better now. Hats off new chef Dana Rodriguez — she did such a great job updating the menu. Here’s the nod to South Park, with Cartman enjoying his dinner in an upstairs corner. 5/x #CasaBonita #RoadTrip
