I had an amazing time in #Colorado this past week. I got to reconnect with friends, put the #rivian #r1t to the test on some #offroad trails, spent several nights in the #roofTopTent, and snagged a reservation at the legendary #casaBonita restaurant. Can’t wait to go back for another adventure.

We had a blast tonight at Casa Bonita in Denver. My first time there in probably 20+ years. The food was excellent and still has all the charm of before.

Went to the infamous “Casa Bonita” restaurant.
A lot of people seem to knock it but I found it delightful. The food was surprisingly good and I loved having such an interesting place to explore after dining.
Cliff diver shows. A magic theater. A puppet show. A cave to explore. Lots of little fun tidbits everywhere.
They even have their own Casa Bonita themed pinball game!
We had a lot of fun.

🎢 Hacked South Park's Casa Bonita. Could access their entire POS system and see all customer payments/tips and more 😬
Technical details:
- Founders Club admin panel: No auth required, all member emails exposed
- POS registration: Form disabled client-side only, API endpoint still functional
- Reservation enumeration: Sequential IDs exposed full customer data
- Full control over customer tabs, payments, and inventory
- Supabase misconfiguration: Public signups triggered automated membership cards
No security.txt anywhere. Had to email parkcounty.com addresses then get help from my friend whose company partners with South Park.
Fixed fast but never thanked me. Got a Founders Club card 6 months later though, because the system automatically sends them 😂

Finally, the promised video of one of the cliff diver routines at Casa Bonita. Still as great at it was in the old days! i love the campy hunks. The photo that one of them pauses to kiss is apparently a real-life famous old-school cliff diver from Acapulco. 9/9 #CasaBonita #RoadTrip

Random rampway that leads up to more seating, the museum (a must see!), and other things. The other thing we realized/confirmed with other veterans is that they no long have gunfights with Black Bart and the sheriff, culminating with Bart falling in the water. Contemporary america, esp in Denver, feels sudden shootouts very differently now. 8/x #CasaBonita #RoadTrip

Here’s one of the animatronic guys in his booth. he sells large souvenir coins. You have to buy a Casa Bonita debit card from another machine to use on the various things like this in the restaurant. Here is a view of the cliff diver’s waterfall. We were seated on the floor above this vantage… i think. It’s disorienting. One thing veteran Casa people in our group agreed on: they lowered the ceiling! Divers used to jump from where the water falls from, but now they dive from below that. We guessed that they lowered the ceiling to add in HVAC and sprinklers to bring things up to code. 6/x #CasaBonita #RoadTrip

One of the biggest changes once inside is that there is no longer a cafeteria line for food! you are taken right to your table, and you order from a menu. And the food is SO MUCH better now. Hats off new chef Dana Rodriguez — she did such a great job updating the menu. Here’s the nod to South Park, with Cartman enjoying his dinner in an upstairs corner. 5/x #CasaBonita #RoadTrip

my phone is being penalized by AT&T with low-data mode, so i can’t post the pix and video from Casa Bonita last night until we get some wifi tonight. But it was everything i remembered and more. So much fun — and they really have made the food good! i’ll expand on it all later, i promise.
