The Nixta would be good in #tiki style drinks - there's an unctousness and cinnamon hint that could work well.
(Nixta is sweetened with piloncillo too so that's a good match already)My apologies to true #mezcal enthusiasts - the good stuff don't need to be in cocktails - this is just Espadin (and yes not great how that cultivation is displacing wild stuff)

Tonight’s cocktail: Royal Bermuda Yacht Club
2 oz Barbados rum (I used 5-year-old Planteray)
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz orange curaçao (I had Cointreau on hand)
1/2 oz falernum
Shake. Chilled coupe glass. Lime wheel.Origin: the club in Hamilton, the capital. First appeared in print 1941. Later embraced by Trader Vic.

Sunny vibes 🌞 Tiki mug over the usual glass—Guava Crush made me do it. Bright guava, lemon zest, tart berry, soft orchard fruit, warm and semi-sweet with a hibiscus kiss. 🍹

Beachbum Berry/Smugglers Cove.
Made the cinnamon syrup for it yesterday - this tastes like an amped up apple cider (not too but distinctly apple-y). Broke out Hamilton 86 Demerara #Rum for this (first bottle I've had - I had, have the 151 on hand more).

I really dig #tiki #cocktails with #bourbon, so the Permanent Holiday was a pleasant discovery. This was a wild combination of bold flavors that came together brilliantly. Distinctive and delicious. My friends loved it!
