  1. Feeling the benefits of easier #BoatRefit progress due to living aboard compared to coming for 2 days twice a month. There is so much less time lost to getting started and clearing up.
Today Jane has been doing Laundry and Dave has been finishing the 9 extra side solar panel supports (coming to a video soon). They are now ready for epoxy coating and then painting.

  2. Today we have built a laundry in our forward heads compartment
    #BoatRefit #diy #CompostingToilet
    😁
Once we start using this heads for our Natures Head Composting toilet and for showers I might cut the shelf back a bit.

  3. Made some actual progress today. My first 4 #mc4 #solar cable #crimps and my first 4 ferrule crimps.
All these boxes are bolted on. Got some different sized crimp lugs coming tomorrow for the #Renogy Rover boxes.
Should be able to get these connected to 6 solar panels tomorrow (unless we focus on the ac side of things which also needs doing on a dry day).

  7. Going slow and gentle today. However, the chimney through deck heatshield for our #Refleks stove is fitted. With the insulated chimney and H cowling it looks great. We will only use the full height at anchor with the boom moved to the port side. However, our understanding is this should help the quality of the burn.

  11. Nightmare journey to Beaumaris in our Nissan Leaf. Now waiting for the RAC because we haven't been able to charge the car on the way.
Stopped at 2 Macdonald's where only 1 #InstaVolt working and people ahead of us saying 1 hour wait.
    2 #Osprey not working. 1 #GeniePoint not working. 2 #Swarco wouldn't accept our contact less payment. Now #Podpoint at #Lidl not working.
We ignored 3 #Ecotricity points as they haven't worked for months.
Only 5 miles range left, 18 miles to Bangor Osprey charger.

  19. What surface finish is appropriate for my #DIY #Busbar ? I'm wondering if I should polish them?
They are 50mm x 6mm Tinned Copper and I'm using 316 Stainless steel bolts with Tinned Copper crimped on lugs (onto tinned Oceanflex cable ranging from 6mm2 to 95mm2)

  23. A cold North East wind today (over 20kts) so we did a quick trip to our shipping container, then Jane has been #splicing the first #dyneema main mast chainplate loop (much harder splicing 12mm than 9mm).
After some writing for work I've been working on wiring diagrams (learning and using #QElectroTech). I like that I can pretty easily create basic custom elements such as our Batteries, #Victron boxes etc.
