Made some actual progress today. My first 4 #mc4 #solar cable #crimps and my first 4 ferrule crimps.
All these boxes are bolted on. Got some different sized crimp lugs coming tomorrow for the #Renogy Rover boxes.
Should be able to get these connected to 6 solar panels tomorrow (unless we focus on the ac side of things which also needs doing on a dry day). -

Eines unserer Mitglieder beschäftigt sich intensiv mit der Frage ob nur Original #Stäubli Zangen/Werkzeuge und #MC4 Stecker ordentlich miteinander verarbeitet werden können.
Sein vorläufiger Schluss: Auch mit Noname Crimpzangen lassen sich sowohl die Original Stäubli Metalpins die in den MC4 Steckern drin sind, als auch noname China Metalpins so crimpen, das sie den Stäubli Vorgaben entsprechen. Die von Stäubli für 300€ verkaufte „Originalzange“ scheint nicht notwendig.

Hmm, another two failed MC4 connectors (commercial). I am getting the sense these solar panel connectors are not the most robust design, and/or they are not all specified to the same tolerance. The failure was a very poor connection between the two halves of the connector, the "F" side was wider than you would expect so only intermittent contact. #electronics #solar #MC4

Beim #Balkonsolar Vortrag: „Am Wechselrichter ist ein #MC4 Weibchen #Stecker und ein Männchen, am Solarpanel auch ein Weibchen und ein Männchen. Die müssen zusammen gesteckt werden und auch nur die passen. Beim #CSD ist das nicht der Fall!“

Ich bin so unglaublich froh, dass ich die Möglichkeit habe, hier direkt vor Ort sowohl einen Solarhändler zu haben, als auch einen echten Elektronikladen!
Gestern Mittag im #Solar Onlineshop ein paar Stäubli #MC4 Stecker und ein paar Meter Solarkabel bestellt, "Barzahlung bei Abholung" ausgewählt und 2 Stunden später auf dem Heimweg schnell abgeholt. Günstiger als bei Amazon bestellt und schneller vefügbar.
