Today marks the first time looking at #PHP #Opcode. Used #phpdgb which was already installed. Is there a better/preferred way? Perhaps @derickr PECL extension would be better? For the truly lazy me, I looked for a #PHPStorm plugin to view opcode in the IDE, but nothing came up. Is there such a thing, or CLI is the way to go? Thank you mastodon for surfacing this subject and giving me something to learn. Eons ago I studied 370360 assembler, it all seems vaguely familiar…

Setting up #PHPStorm to handle #PHPStan / #Larastan, Laravel Pint, Code Sniffer and CS_Fixer (not sure if this is needed with Laravel Pint). What is the best way to set this up so I don't have to set this up for every project? Tried to point to a globally installed version of each but wasn't able to easily do this.
Suggestions or a pointer to a tutorial would be fabuluous!

Hey #SoloPreneurs, is anyone using YouTrack for issues and helpdesk? I currently use Jira for issue management and FreshDesk for customer tickets but I see YouTrack can do it all in one and as a PHPStorm fan I'm wondering if this is the right way to go?
What are your experiences with this?

@ramsey Hmm, so I have been holding onto a #PhpStorm license for years but have been unable to get myself away from #vim (#Neovim actually). I hadn't heard about #JetBrainsFleet , probably missed reading it in one of my emails, but looking it up I am very intrigued. I've tried #VSCode as well but being able to focus on my keyboard and not my mouse has been my challenge with using any of the mainline IDEs. I might need to give Fleet a whirl. Thanks for sharing this.

I have been an on/off user of #neovim and while I am getting the hang of it after using it solely with #tmux for a few weeks, I still feel more #productive when using #intellij. #Refactoring and moving files around is so much easier and more integrated into the #IDE. I am missing the motions though, so I think I am going to settle with the #ideavim plugin in #phpstorm. For now..

@oliver nope
I’m a @pop_os_official fanboyAnd only use MySQL WB for a couple of things when doing admin work on the server (use privileges for instance are not very easy with SQL commands)
Really prefer mycli over the command line or #datagrip that is bundled with #phpstorm

Thought I'd move forward to PhpStorm 2026.2 EAP. I know it's an EAP, but the first file that loads in the project, is a test file from yesterday.. and now there's no ability to run the test with the usual keyboard shortcut and the gutter run icons etc have disappeared.. how does a regression like that even get in there? (not the first time this has happened over the product lifetime).
Seriously.. #Jetbrains is becoming a really fucked up company with a massive slop cannon.
Time to find better
