Did you know that #PhpStorm bookmarks are seemingly no longer stored in the project root's ".idea" directory but in some randomly named file inside your user profile? I discovered it today, when my bookmarks were gone for good, I decided to restore them from a backup copy and I discovered that they were nowhere to be found in the location that all Google results say. I had to create a bookmark to a randomly named file and `grep -r` for it in my `~/.confg`.

Since updating to the latest #phpstorm the IDE screen is very "dark"

#PhpStorm is dead. #JetBrains just doesn't know it yet.

They're playing catch-up with #AI Assistant while the competition already rewrote the playbook. The gap is only getting wider. 📉

I've been using the EAP release of #PhpStorm for a couple of days, installed side by side with the stable version, and #KDE #Plasma has been utterly confused all along. Icons in the task manager pane have been changing randomly, often in the middle of a work session, while the program is running. Kind of amusing.

Damn, something slowed down #PHPStorm today to a degree where I could hardly work.

Scrolling a simple file caused stutter. Neither do I have the time nor the interest to debug this.

Anyone else experiencing a sudden slowdown? Maybe due to a plugin update?

I can't believe that two absolute basic #PhpStorm features I daily drive (debugging lazy objects and HTTP client) have been broken for **months** and nobody seems to care the least.

Today's realisation in #PhpStorm is that the "Missing parameter's type declaration" inspection may or may not detect missing parameter type declarations. This is the Schrodinger's IDE. There is not a single deterministic feature.

The laptop has been hyperventilating for a while now.
I check the process list.
#PhpStorm is using up like 9 cores of the CPU. The usage is inconsistent and keeps jumping up and down drastically.
I check the list of PhpStorm's background tasks. Find none.

I'm staring to think PhpStorm just has a coin miner hidden somewhere.

At that point I restarted it while writing this post, and about a minute later it complained to me about being low on memory. Even though only three files were open. Are you fucking kidding me?

Then it offered me to analyze memory usage. It took about two minutes and another restart of the IDE. Once it was done and offered me to share the dump/analysis with JetBrains, I agreed. And that's when it told me there's a new build which already fixes this "exception".

But I'm not on their subscription anymore, so I'm not getting that build. Sucks to be me, LOL! 😀
