First I got emails (at work) from random software vendors saying “blah-blah-blah. Let me know if we can have a call to discuss.”
Then over time this moved to “blah-blah-blah. Does 1pm on Wed work for you to discuss?”
And more recently, it’s moved to actually sending me unsolicited meeting requests.
(not the same vendor, different random ones, but still)
What next, waiting for me at my car in my office parking lot?!

Joined the #EV world! Bought a new #MustangMachE yesterday (wife's primary car). It's *such* a nice drive! 😍
(as a bonus, we already have a Level2, 240V/50A, EV charging outlet in the garage, back from when we had tenants in this house, and they asked to have it installed for their Teslas).

1.5yo puppy just fell in the pool (I saw it happen through kitchen window). But hooray for training! She immediately turned to face the steps (on the complete other side of where she fell in), swam straight there and safely got out. Good girl!

4 kids choosing car seat positions. Between “it’s my turn”, “it’s my day” (we operate a “day” based chore/reward scheme), and “shotgun” it seems it’s always a mini war when we have to get into the car to go anywhere.
So… Geek Dad to the rescue!
A lockscreen #Shortcuts icon using an inline #Scriptable (from @simonbs) script, and now seat positions are assigned randomly (it takes into account how many are riding, to ignore the least favorite seats where possible).
Aaaahh, bliss! 😂

Listen, there are few quarterbacks I sport-hate as much as Aaron Rogers -- he has always been the biggest pain in the ass for us Cowboys fans 😂.
But I am absolutely gutted for him to hear he is out for the season. What a devastating injury. I really looked forward to seeing what he can do at the Jets, and looked forward to taking him on this coming Sunday.
Truly sucks.

I understand that #HalleysComet was at its furthest distance from the Sun (“aphelion”) on Dec 8th (2023), and is now coming ‘back’ to its closest distance to the Sun (“perihelion”).
I was 11 when it last visited us, and will be 87 for its next visit in 2061. That's quite a ripe old age for a man (especially one who thinks "healthy living" means having some caesar salad with his 16oz ribeye 😂). So it'll be a minor miracle if I get to see it, but ya never know. ☄️

I think they need to trim down the number of teams that qualify for the #RugbyWorldCup -- i.e. make it more difficult to qualify. We should NOT be seeing 71-3 games in the World Cup!
(Apart from the ridiculous score, silly games like this risk unnecessary injuries to the better teams' players)
