Sat - less than 1 inch #snow
Sat night - 2 to 4 inches snow
Sun - snow before 9 a.m., mix afterward, with 3 to 5 inches snow and ice accum.
Sun night - less than inch
So still looking at 6-11 inches of frozen precip down here in valley.
I imagine the mountains will get more of the fluffy stuff. -

In the prairies, most homes are connected to natural gas, which is much cheaper to heat with than electricity here. As a comparison, 1 million #BTU here costs:

293 kWh electricity - $43.66
Even at a COP of 3 - which isn't gonna happen at -30C - a heat pump is still going to cost more than four times as much to run. People who have to use electric resistance heat here frequently pay >$500/month for heat in winter.

I was going to return to the place where this image was exposed this week, but the weather doesn't look great for photographing on my possible travel days. Oh well. 95% of the time it's a waste of time to try to re-work a past exposure of landscape. Like mind itself, it's never the same twice.

I traveled in mid April, and one o the stops was Longwood Garden, in peak bulb glory. It was amazing and overwhelming. Maybe I got some good exposures of colorful flowers. We’ll see. I think that’s very hard. And here is a #blackandwhite #infrared, for me, so natural to do.
