Ich sehe die Ausbildung in Zły Komorow/Senftenberg als große Chance. Es ist richtig, sie auch in Brandenburg zu verankern.
Ich befürchte aber, dass es die sorbische Welt weiter entlang der Landesgrenze spaltet. Richtig wäre, wenn an der #BTU auch (nebenbei) auf obersorbisch ausgebildet würde. Erst dann gäbe es für beide Sprachen eine belebende Konkurrenz zwischen Uni Leipzig und BTU. Und beide Unis (beide Länder) würden gesamtsorbische Verantwortung übernehmen.

Another home #radiator question, please folks...
How do you calculate the #BTU / power that you need?
I've tried 4 different professional plumbing websites and, for the same info/dimensions, have got estimates for anything from 3500 BTU to 5600 BTU.
Which is quite a range - and so quite a big cost difference...
Is there a reliable way to work it out?
Room is 4.67 x 3.8 x 2.4m, apx 3m2 of double glazed windows/door. Concrete over earth underfloor (we think) with heated bedroom above.

In the prairies, most homes are connected to natural gas, which is much cheaper to heat with than electricity here. As a comparison, 1 million #BTU here costs:
27.7 m^3 natural gas - $3.08
293 kWh electricity - $43.66
Even at a COP of 3 - which isn't gonna happen at -30C - a heat pump is still going to cost more than four times as much to run. People who have to use electric resistance heat here frequently pay >$500/month for heat in winter.

The Aug. 9 #SAGAFTRAstrike rally at #Boston Common was a success thanks to many #sagaftra members & staff who worked to coordinate the program’s #amazing speakers, #IATSE members who helped set up the media dais & run sound, and the many #BTU, #WGA, #AFLCIO, #Teamsters, and other #unions and #union members who came to support efforts for fair wages, reasonable compensation, and image protections. I was glad to contribute in singing “Solidarity Forever”, enhanced by the fabulous #BABAM musicians.
