  1. Day 21 #CQCAdvent

Professionals and family members, we spoke with attributed the positive outcomes people achieved to the managers and staff who placed people in the centre of the service.

Recruitment had not been difficult for the provider due to the good reputation they built on the market. They received applications without the need for advertising.

**No agency staff used, it's possible**

  4. Added a poll for the question before.

If you were the parent of a baby would you want mittens joined together or separate?

Can imagine them being useful for toddlers, but little ones? TIA #parent #newparent #parenting #baby #babygift #knitting #knit

  7. Sharing for the week day crew. This piece by @Saba_Salman is so heart breaking.

What happened to Connor was horrendous, and the deceit and obfuscation that followed, just as horrendous.

@truth4connor and other bereaved families shouldn't need to fight for answers, yet we see that's the case time and time and time again.

The coroner was pretty outspoken on the lack of transparency by the Children's Trust charity too

  11. @jtownend @Maggotlaw always happy to tak coroners courts, I think the default assumption is they’re open because in one sense they’re very open, but in another there is so much variation, it’s a little like the Wild West out there at times.

For me personally remote access has transformed how much and what I can cover, it’s been brilliant, altho it concerns me what is missed/goes on mostly unwitnessed where remote access isn’t facilitated #OpenJustice

  12. Had to pick a parcel up from the Post Office Sorting Office. Guy serving me remembered my Dad and mentioned him (we have the same name) 😭 ❤️

It's over 10 years since Dad died and I *love* it when people still speak of him, its the best feeling, like he lives on (I mean he does in his kids but you know what I mean).

Commiserated him on how busy he is ahead of two days striking, but totally supportive of them 👊

  13. Days 16 - 21 of #100DaysOfAirFrying and I was mostly ill, so wasn't really cooking or eating. I did reheat some beige food at one point, and I made another pear and apple crumble. Pics attached.

  14. Day 14 and Day 15 of #100DaysOfAirFrying and I've nothing to report.

The #AirFryer has stayed off, mostly because I've been back to back with work the last two days and living off toast. I still had flapjacks so had no need for treats either.

Am off out for a curry tonight so have no need for tea, but will see if it gets used again tomorrow.

  15. CW: Food / meat

Sorry, sorry, sorry totally behind on #100DaysOfAirFrying but only because I keep forgetting to post, I don't forget to use it so today Days 11, 12 and 13.

Day 11 air fried bacon for a sarnie

Day 12 grilled bacon and then made the most disgustingly delicious crumpet, garlic puree, butter, bacon and cheese feast (inspired by some tiktok video via my sister)

Day 13 Riverford pork and apple pie with air fryed chips

I have NO regrets about this purchase at all #airfryer #cooking

  16. Day 10 #100DaysOfAirFrying and I was invited next door for dinner with my cousin... burgers and chips, which she'd cooked in her #airfryer so even though I didn't use mine today I think it still counts 😂

  17. Day 9 #100DaysOfAirFrying this was a total indulgence, utterly unnecessary but soooo good.

150gm butter, 150gm sugar, 2tbsp honey, 2tbsp golden syrup melted together, 300gm jumbo oats, 100gm sultanas

First use of the bake function, 16mins at 180C, was aiming for 20mins but thought was long enough.

It’s still cooling but I just stole the corner and it’s sooo good, altho maybe a little too sweet 🤭 #AirFryer #Baking #Cooking

  18. Day 8 #100DaysOfAirFrying oh my goodness, air fried chickpeas with olive oil, salt, cumin and paprika.

15mins at 200 on Air Fry mode #AirFryer grand total of 13p

Then later on reheated leftover cauliflower cheese on the first use of the reheat function , super quick and super hot. 10mins and baking hot all the way through. #cooking

  19. Day 7 #100DaysOfAirFrying time for cauliflower cheese, with couple slices of ham from earlier in week reheated by throwing in for last few minutes cooking time.

I roasted cauliflower for 10mins at 200, with a few spritz of spray veg oil on it. Made cheese sauce in a saucepan, added florets to ensure were fully coated. Popped back into the roasting tin, covered with mixed herbs, some breadcrumbs and a little salt.

Roasted 7mins. 20p of electric, yummy warm food in my belly #AirFryer #cooking

  20. @sarasiobhan it does. I'd think of it as a kitchen appliance rather than gadget. Its like a small oven really. It grills, air fries, roasts, bakes, dehydrate and reheats.

Much cheaper than an oven tho, and smaller too (altho the one I got feels pretty big) but its table top height. Was thinking would be ideal for people who struggle with mobility.

I got a Ninja Foodi Max, mostly because I'd used Abi's and liked/knew it. It's also medium capacity, ideal for one or two ppl #100DaysOfAirFrying

  21. Day 5 of #100DaysOfAirFrying was yesterday and I had to fight myself not to use the #AirFryer I really had no need.

Day 6 today and I cooked a leek, an onion and some butternut squash cubes with mixed herbs and had it in a wholemeal pitta with humous, was so good. Next time I’d roast not air fry but still playing around deciding on what function to use.

  22. Ooops forgot to put Day 3 as a reply but it's on the #100DaysOfAirFrying hashtag if you're interested.

Today is Day 4 and if I'm really honest I probably didn't need to use the #airfryer today, but I couldn't resist.

Small butternut squash, spritz of oil, sprinkle of cinnamon, paprika and salt

    20mins at 200c 14p

I threw in the remainder of the Pumpkin Seeds from Day2 just before the end of cooking to re-crunch them which was spot on.

Not sure if its quieter or I'm just more used to it 👌

  23. CW: Meat

    #100DaysOfAirFrying Day 3

Tbh I'm not sure I needed to use the #airfryer today. I live alone, never had a cooked meal daily, not worth the effort.

But novelty value still high, today I cooked a ham.

Slapped on some garlic puree, honey and mustard. 15min at 200C, 30min at 170C.

Some time before end of cooking I was diverted to an elderly neighbour problem so it stayed in air fryer for extra 20mins.

Used fancy digital probe to check temp when got back, all was fine. And more spuds. Yum

  24. Belated pic from Day2 of #100DaysOfAirFrying was my first go at #airfryer chips

With a Pukka Vegan Cheddar and Onion Pie (not that I'm #vegan but wanted to try it).

Not sure about any suggestion that it would help me eat healthier, given I never really fried food anyway, I've a nasty feeling I'm going to turn into a potato.

  25. CW: Food #AirFryer

Day 2 of #100DaysOfAirFrying and I've had to stop myself from getting carried away.

I had pumpkin seeds leftover from some soup I made the other day so roasted them with Lemon, Thyme and Cornish Sea Salt.

On recommendation of @garethhevans nuts... well nut and seed mix, coconut flakes, cashews, almonds, sesame seeds, salt, paprika and rosemary... could have done with slightly less time, this was 5mins, think 3 wld do.

Also did tea but phone has died so pics tomorrow #AirFryer

  26. I've decided to document my first 100 days of life with an #airfryer I know I'm a saddo.

I was so adamant that I didn't need another #kitchen gadget so I'm going to use the hashtag #100DaysOfAirFrying and keep track of my makes (or days when I dont use it) so I can keep tabs on how much I use it and it's impact.

Day 1 today. First impressions are it's big, louder than I was expecting, but awesome.

Apple and pear crumble cooked in 18mins and was definitely the best 12p I spent today

  27. Not sure how many of the people I'm connected to here are interested in #OpenJustice but have read two pieces by @jtownend today that are incredibly relatable/interesting

    1) Judith's blog post: The practical reality of open justice and what can be done: reflections on the justice committee’s new report openinfoandideas.wordpress.com

    2) (Open access) Paper from last year: Remote trial and error: how COVID-19 changed public access to court proceedings tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10 by Judith and @Maggotlaw

  28. @jtownend sorry I wasn't clear, in that I agree, because I don't think it's really so much about resourcing issues or technology if they're offering hybrid hearings that others can attend (and only public/press can't).

Part of me bristles at having to give a reason to attend remotely too, because that feels like #openjustice if those with the power grant it and deem you 'suitable'. Still (relatively) early days though I guess.

  29. @jtownend great blog. It definitely feels easier to get remote access to coroner's courts (altho almost always at the coroner's discretion still), but I applied to join a hybrid Care Standards Tribunal hearing last week and was informed that press and public had to turn up in person. Which seems a blanket no and so far from what it could be #transparency #openjustice

  30. Day 20 #CQCAdvent

Staff worked in very close partnership with parents and carers to take positive risks which resulted in children and young people trying new activities, acquiring new skills and growing in confidence.

One young person with additional learning needs and physical disabilities was able to increase their use of indoor play equipment and had gone on to use further play activities
