If you want a tag in the main body, you should be able to escape it by putting a backslash before the hashtag symbol i.e.\#yourtaghere
CommonMark docs suggest you need a space AFTER the hashtag and before the content for it to be considered a heading {to avoid exactly this}, but they also said some implementations make exceptions.
