The pumpkins are branching out and taking over the garden. They're welcome to.
From what I've seen, all of them are butternut squash, none Hokkaido. I think we'll have enough to open a roadside stall or something :)

Back home and the jungle had grown dense while we were gone. Went about cutting it back until the mower discovered one of the old man's treasures: another cow mooring post, sticking its top hoop out enough to catch the mowing deck, which is now bent again in the same spot.
Levered it out and put it with the others. Need to fix the deck (again) before mowing further.
In better news, the pumpkins have decided to finally make flowers while we were away. So we'll have lots of that. Still not sure which type as we've sown both Hokkaido and Butternut Squash together.

In lab tests with cherry #tomatoes over 20 days, the material outperformed conventional #plastic at blocking #UV light, stopping microbial growth, and preserving antioxidants. It passed #safety tests and can be sprayed on or used as #packaging film.

A volcano shaped pile of soil 1m x 1m for 2 people can constantly be turned over with every toilet emptying (often bucket is immediately emptied for me so it gets absorbed / aired / dried in soil).Then I add this pile of energised soil into deeper holes and under new plant beds.
Neutral soil on top helps cap the nutrients inside.
