Dear #BeebEm fans; what's the maximum speed you can achieve when setting the emulator to x100 (menu...Speed...Fixed Speed...100)?
Mine is x60 during computation and x73 during program idle.
I'm running it on a 5GHz AMD Ryzen 5 and I'd expect it to top out at 100 easily, but obviously not.

Just updated #BeebEm, a BBC Micro and Master emulator, to the latest version.
Fun to play BBC Micro games on (most of the games are easy to load since they are disk images, but for tape images, it's a bit more complicated), and also a great way to show running teletext feeds like Teefax, Chunkytext, and Nathan Dane's #Ceefax, based on my experiences with BeebEm.

My goodness is it me or has the Japanese Yen lost a lot of value? I bring it up because I bought a few VRC assets on booth and one purchase that was 1000 yen (usually around $10 USD) was only about $6 and change?
On one hand its almost like a "sale" from my perspective, but I also hope proportionally the creators arent getting screwed.

CW: Talking about Outside Cats (Stray + Feral)
I don't know about you guys, but this happened all the time in NYC, which is famous for having countless chill bodega cats. Usually the community cats are strays or ferals btw, so its not so much as we're bad people for letting them be outside because they're outside to begin with...
I once took a TNR course which is Trap, Neuter, Return. It's about capturing feral cats and neuter/spay them and put them back where they were to help curb the population of excess cat breeding since, well too many would mean a lot of them would suffer :c

I've gotten a big surge of inspiration and confidence for my main fanfic, "an Angel on Princess Street". I had already had the next few chapters planned out well for quite a while, but was filled with anxiety and imposter syndrome over the idea of "disappointing people" if the writing quality had dipped or suddenly changed. Honestly, it's not even an irrational fear because it has happened to me before with our art at least. And for that fanfic in particular,I've had a lot of meaningful reception and feedback to it that has basically caused my stage fright.
