AWX: упрощаем работу с Ansible

Insbesondere, wenn ihr docker etc. anbietet, dann How to headless? #ansible #batou #kubernetes

Been continuing my adventures of building an #ansible role for #microk8s which worked well and got me to a working thing with a giant but involved.
Apparently one can not properly run molecule test scenarios involving snap packages when using containers for testing.
I found https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapd/+bug/1712808 and wonder if testing in containers might simply be impossible.

Just discovered another #Ansible Galaxy by #Semaphore: https://galaxy.semaphoreui.com/
Doesn't look like you can upload your own content there easily - what am I missing?

I didn't realize or remember that Ansible uses cowsay by default if it is installed. I was wondering why all my printouts had the cows saying them now, haha.
It can be disabled in the ansible.cfg file but like the comment says, why would I want to do that?!

Hab heute Ansible OpenSource version AWX installiert.

The philosophical differences between keeping things updated everywhere and long term supported ”stability” bit me yesterday when #Ansible failed to run #DNF on a #RHEL 8 compatible #OracleLinux server when executed from my #macOS laptop with current software versions installed. Looks like DNF gets executed with #Python3.6 no matter which other versions are installed. Is there any workaround that doesn’t involve downgrading or keeping an old environment around? #DevOps #Automation

#ansible and #lvs question: in both real and virtual machines, /dev/sda,b,etc are not reliably defined - at least not in #rhel.
I have a vm image for cloning that, when need a second “disk” to make a second lvs/lvg out of... I can’t guarantee what device to hand to Ansible to make it out of.
This HAS to be a solved problem.Has anyone reading this solved it or know someone who has?
