@Luigi311 There is also maui-shell that uses the #mauikit from the developers of #NitruxLinux.
I tried it 3 Years ago and found it really interesting.There is a feature branch for #PostmarketOS that one can try. But the branch has not seen any updates since 3 Years.
Also the development of maui-shell seems to have slown down. As it has not seen any changes in the last 7 months. -
@debacle I used #inkstitch, which is a #inkscape extension, some time ago.

I got dualboot of #postmarketOS and #AsteroidOS working on my Fossil Gen 6 (hoki)!
#lk2nd is installed to boot partition and #postmarketOS is flashed to userdata partition.
#AsteroidOS kernel is installed to recovery and rootfs flashed to the system partition.That way I am flexible to re-flash eather system without getting trouble with the other one!

@crft I haven't had problems with particular my devices but some manufacturers get parts from multiple sources and also repair parts can be different from the original.
The problem are the drivers that need to be included for all different versions, also the device tree needs to match the used parts.
I am not sure if this is also the issue in your case. Maybe some one else can help you out or ask on the #sdm845:postmarketos.org Martix server for help.

@linuxer Ich empfehle #sxmo als Desktop auf touch Geräten. Das macht sowohl Touch als auch Tastatur Nutzung sehr produktiv. Mit #pmbootstrap sollte die Installation kein Problem sein.

@unplugged @askfedi What about #postmarketos with #osmin or #puremaps?

@stefan Ich hoffe bis es bei mir so weit ist wird Linux auf dem "smart" Phone, in meiner Familie, standard sein!

Any one out there owning a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e (Wifi edition) and willing to help porting PostmarketOS to this device?
I got the downstream LineagOS device specific kernel booting on my device.
Currently no display working but ssh over usb is working.Next step would be to get the mainline kernel booting on the device. This should not be to difficult for someone with experience, as the soc (sdm670) has already mainline support.

@tomasoqvist I am switching once a while between #posh and gnome-mobile. What does anoy me on gnome-mobile is that I can't force the keyboard to show up as I can with phosh.
