  1. The engineering cost of flaky tests is too high. I'm presenting our work in progress on a data-driven solution tomorrow at .

Join me for: "Zap the Flakes! Leveraging AI to Combat Flaky Tests with CANNIER."

I will detail the CANNIER research: using ML to predict and flag flakiness risks in KubeVirt CI.

    ⏰ Tomorrow, 08/11/2025 @ 10:00 CET

  3. Hey @kirschner , hope you had a safe trip home back from DevConf.cz!

Really enjoyed chatting with you - and since you asked, here's the link to "Spaceballs - The T-Shirt": qwertee.com/shop/tees/the-t-sh

  4. After a long train trip I've finally arrived in Brno yesterday. Now I'm well rested and ready to attend this year's devconf.cz instance 🥳

I'll be attending devconf.cz till Saturday - ping me if you want to meet up!

  7. It's a wrap! is over 😅🥲

It's been a ride: my first maintainer talk, quite a lot of extremely interesting conversations and huge interest in - also meeting colleagues and having conversations outside of work is very refreshing.

Thanks everyone who attended our talks and stopped by our Project Pavilion - it's been a real pleasure! 🥰

And if you have further questions about , you can toot to @kubevirt or find us on kubevirt.bsky.social

  8. Do you remember my talk at FOSDEM about flaky tests last year? 🤔 I’ll be talking about zapping your flaky tests with a laser gun tomorrow! Pew-pew… 🔫
No, seriously - I’ll talk about an approach to detect flaky tests with AI.
Come visit the Testing and Continuous Delivery DevRoom in UD6.215 on Saturday! My talk starts at 13:15 if you’re interested. “fosdem.org/2025/schedule/event

  9. To all people from that attended my talk about today, I was promising to publish links to the slides, here they are:

Happy rest of the conference, and safe travels back.

And fix your flaky tests 😜

  10. So happy to be invited as a speaker at this year! Lots of socializing going on here - met a number of very nice people already.

Gentle reminder that my talk will happen tomorrow at 11:15AM, it is about minimizing impact of .

  11. Yesterday one question was about the difference between and :

I only had a glance at the project page, but from what I understand OpenVZ only helps you to run virtual machines, where KubeVirt integrates VMs into the Kubernetes cluster, providing VMs access to the Kubernetes infrastructure, like storage, networking etc.

Correct me if I am wrong.

  12. Looking forward to speaking at 2024 in Berlin!

My talk will be about , I'll try to bring some light into why we need to reduce the impact and share some findings about how to distinguish them. I'd also like to have a discussion in the Q&A section about your experience with this topic, so we can learn together from this.

  13. The video for my talk from Sunday is available from the FOSDEM website now. There are two formats available, so I'm not linking it directly.

Find it at the talk page here: fosdem.org/2024/schedule/event

  14. Regarding my talk at from yesterday: if you want to tell your story about , please get in contact, either via k8s Slack to @dhiller, via [email protected], messages via Mastodon, whatever suits you best.

I'm really sad that that didn't happen yesterday, since I am convinced now that there are lots of stories to tell.

Idea: create a repository for flaky tests stories and use pull requests to add stories... WDYT?

  15. I'm ready to travel to in , where I'll be giving a talk about ! It will start on Sunday 11:10 CET in the Testing & Continuous Delivery Developer Room.

Besides describing how CI team deals with , I hope to gather insights from the attendees, so please come over and share your thoughts in the Q&A at the end of the session! (Offline is great also for sure :) )
