Since I only wear sports bras, the fewer seams the better & since my size isn't readily available, I'm quite motivated to figure that out. I did make one "bra", using the #LimestoneLeggings pattern from #SewLiberated and it was actually extremely easy, just not a snug enough fit since I made it with cotton jersey. I bought some swimwear fabric for my next attempt but that will have to wait until at least summertime since I'm off on a long #RoadTrip later this week -

My sandals self destructed while I was on vacation so I'm trying to make my own out of some random poly/cotton canvas and a cut up old boot mat. Here's an initial stab at a layout for the straps. This is not what I'll end up with, but it's more comfortable than I expected.

I haven't shown you progress on my sprang recently and that's because it took a time out while I finished my raincoat, but I've finished down to the bottom of the arm holes even the fiddly rows where you can't get your fingers in properly.
I am now starting the next section and combining the body pieces.

Here's a story from my childhood in light of events at #crcsynod but might also be interesting to people in other denominations who find themselves grieving the outcomes of other meetings.
For two summers when I was a teen or tween my family took a "vacation from church".
That meant that every Sunday for a couple months we'd go to a different church. It wasn't the full range of what was available in our rural community. But it was a bunch of random churches. 1/x

This fall I had a ring made with a little piece of my PhD thesis on it. I've been thinking about doing this for years (ever since I graduated) and finally managed to find a jeweler interested in the project (and my price range).

#ootd it's cold and damp today so I'm wearing a literal blanket.
This big shawl thing is a half hap. I started with a pattern, but just kept going until I ran out of yarn. (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hansel-half-version )
It's all handspun I purchased raw fleece and washed and combed the locks myself. Each colour is a different sheep and a different breed. It was super fun to play with the different wool properties.

Oon tätä just viime aikoina miettinyt, että aikanaan valokeilassa, ja jopa pressaehdokkaana ollut #Huhtasaari on ollut koko tämän eduskuntakauden täysin rivikansanedustaja ja hävinnyt kaikesta julkisuudesta. En ole silti rohjennut toivoa, ettei hän sen myötä seuraavissa vaaleissa pääsisi läpi; äärivaikeiston rinsessalla on kuitenkin kannattajansa.
Mutta: Nyt hän jättääkin eduskunnan iza! Tervemenoa (toivottavasti ei kuitenkaan enää opettajaksi)!
