I loved it! This drama talks about PTSD like no other before. The ML is psychologically and physically damaged. Great #leejunho acting! He's poor too and it was just so beautiful to watch a love story grow despite all these difficulties.

Extremely disappointing are the kisses instead.
I had already seen #WonJinAh as FL in #MeltingMeSoftly and she did better there. I guess #JiChanWook magic lips do wonders 😂

    Melting Me Softly
    (2019 - Viki, 16 1:05 eps)

An interesting idea for a story - 2 people volunteer to be frozen for a day, but due to evil shenanigans, wake up 20 years later to a changed world, friends, & family.

The cast is full of phenomenal talent. Although the FL has disappointed me in 2 dramas now. The screen writer wrote one of my favorites, "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," but here was just a full-of-tropes drama with some silliness. There could have been a profound statement about the passage of time changing our values & perspectives, but it missed the mark, didn't use the crime or the secondary characters to emphasize a theme (as she did in SWDBS).

Ji Chang Wook & the other wonderful actors save it as a cute romcom, but it really could have been so much more. That said I did laugh & even shed a few tears, but don't expect a lot.

I can see how it could read that way. I didn’t take it that way at all and it actually made me like him better than “The King’s Affection”.

The Korean title is actually “Don’t Put on That Lipstick”

I had read this article and both the ML & FL thought the title was bold & sexy - so it wasn’t a controlling thing to them. soompi.com/article/1449285wpp/

Yes, it is more serious - definitely not a comedy although the young niece has some funny lines and there’s a cute scene about a mom disapproving a relationship - but no LOL.

She Would Never Know (2021 Netflix)

This was another attempt to find a relaxing romantic comedy. I wouldn’t call this one a comedy, but it was nice. It’s a slow build with mature relationships and problems. The trick of balancing life and work - ambition or relationship - is explored.

The side couples were all very interesting and I actually wish we could have seen more of their stories.

It’s a good, steady story and makes for a nice watch.
