(2022 - Viki 16 1:10 eps)Yeonhee University's cheer squad has a long history, including a terrifying prophecy. A poor woman concerned only about supporting her family & paying tuition is persuaded to join the cheer squad for money. She realizes there is value in doing things you enjoy & having relationships. Other members of the cheer squad also find value in belonging & having others cheer you on.
Interesting look at an unfamiliar (to the U.S.) part of Korean campus life. The love triangle is intense (big-time 2nd ML syndrome) & really becomes the story, making the message take 2nd place. The criminal's motives are mostly glossed over & the crime-ing was very uneven, but since it wasn't central to the story, it's okay. Not a lot of character development, but it did try to present a good message. Some great acting saved the show & made for a very fun watch.

The Story of Park's Marriage Contract
(2023 - Viki, 12 1:10 eps)What started fabulously fizzled in the end. A romance with absolutely gorgeous hanbok designs & embroidery, where a Joseon seamstress travels to the present to repeat fate. The acting was great, the costumes were hit & miss - noticeable because of the emphasis on fashion.
The leads had good chemistry, although I had a tiny bit of 2nd lead syndrome. 2nd couple was funny & cute. The villains were the problem. Their stories were convoluted & their character changes didn't make sense. The floral & butterfly symbolism was beautiful. The female friendship was nice.
Glad to have seen it once just for the sewing & embroidery!

(2020 Viki, 12 12 min eps)What an unusual format! In looking for somehting light to counteract the last episodes of another drama, I came across this. The ML was the 3rd ML in "My Roommate is a Gumiho," & I liked him there.
It is a story about a goblin trying to become human. Intersting because I am also watching "the" Goblin with a watch party. It's fun to see how supernatural magic works in different worlds. In this show, the Goblin has to kiss 10 different people to acquire human emotions. Seeing how the Goblin handles each new emotion is fun, heartwarming, & surprising.
The actors are good & attractive, & the story is nicely done. Even in this extremely short format, they conveyed the "feels." It is so cute & completely bingeable. Nothing ground-breaking, but this will be a comfort show I can return to.
