I'm running a Wilderness First Aid class (in person) in the Conejo Valley on November 2 (Sun) and November 23rd (Sun) 8am to 5pm both days if anyone local is interested. Cost is $75.00 (my cost for books and certification card, supplies). If you want to sign up, let me know, I have a few spots open. I'm running a REC3 course on 12th & 13th April if you know anyone interested. Recerts are available on the second day too.
This is required for a Mountain Skills Assessment, Mountain Leader, and various other outdoor activities qualifications.

Today I get to host a workshop on Wilderness First Aid to around 100 Scout Leaders travelling to Norway later in the year. I'm running batches of around 15 people at a time, with other workshops too. If I'm able to speak by the end it'll be pretty surprising!

Last weekend I had my first of two full day assessments to become a REC3 Trainer.
After teaching for 11 hours on my feet to a kayaking club, I passed!
Officially I'm now a REC1 Trainer. One more assessment to go, but no firm date yet. A couple of more courses coming up to assist on and gain experience.
