I'm a sucker for Chess-inspired roguelike games, so naturally Usurper was on the list of demos to check out.
It has a neat buy-a-chesspiece mechanic that makes the board evolve in a unique way. And yes I did happen to blunder my Queen as expected.

From somewhere around 1992 until somewhere around 1997, I ran a #BBS. Can still find old #FidoNet nodelists with me on there (tricky though, my name is spelt wrong!)
I had a number of paid/registered door games, including Usurper, LORD, Falcon's Eye, and Barren Realms Elite. The registration code for #LORD I still have had committed to memory.
What is surprising is that for all of the above, can still buy licenses (except #Usurper, which was GPL'd in 2010, a port can be found on github)?!?!

I wasn't sure how to translate one specific word in the Dutch thread, I picked "usurper". That's the word that is used in this translation too, and I think "the #Usurper" is a very good nickname for #Putin.
Let's hope this National Republican Army is solid, and that they will succeed in ripping the #Kremlin gang to pieces. Literally, if possible.The world is not Russia's enemy, and Russia is not the enemy of mankind.
