#WeekWithoutDriving thoughts: I've already arranged my life to have transportation freedom without a car. When I need to be a nondriver someday I won't miss a beat. My dad lost his independence when he had to stop driving because he couldn't consider/use other modes. Not me!

#WeekWithoutDriving Day 3: Biked 8.5 mi for an all-day meeting. Delighted to see another bike parked out front when I arrived. Later I'll ride to Olympia Center for a class, then home.

Again had bike lanes for nearly 100% of my route. Thank you City of Olympia! And Tumwater too.

#WeekWithoutDriving Day 2: Walked to my neighborhood bakery for a meeting, with much appreciation for the colleague who lives not far from me and suggested we meet in person instead of via Teams. Crisp fall temperatures, sunshine, greenery alongside autumn leaf colors, sidewalks the majority of the route. Wonderful.

Edited to add: Had bike lanes for the vast majority of my route. Even "just paint" helps when the network is connected and drivers expect you. Yay for abundant bike racks in downtown Olympia too!

It's a savvy transit rider who knows stops along their bus's route other than the one usually used. Because I knew, I could run to a stop ahead of the bus and catch it. Wouldn't have made it to the transit center in time, especially since "run" is overstating how fast I move. #WeekWithoutDriving may be over but I'm still not driving for transportation. #TransitTooter #undriving #transit #transportation
