  1. Ah, the timeless art of re-re-reinventing the wheel! 🛞✨ Let's create a "toy" UI library by painstakingly redefining rectangles, because who needs pre-existing solutions when you can engage in the thrilling adventure of... drawing shapes? 🎨🤡

  6. I'm sorry #ShadcnUI, but Nuxt UI is *THE* interface library to beat.

It's incredible the amount of plumbing I have to do with #Shadcn just to add make a button "loading".

Seems like Nuxt UI values my time.

  11. Bottom-up Javascript Storage Management

i wanted to see if we can create #asynchronous bottom-up #javascript #BrowserStorage, we have the basics to put together a state management system. State management solutions in apps typically have ways to persist data.

I wanted to explore if there are any benefits to define and manage state in #webcomponents with a bottom-up approach. I wanted to see if it could give a greater flexibility in developing a #UI and not having to worry about persisted storage management.

  13. The UI library is good, but there's little room for personalization...

I thought It would not be very time-consuming to build some basic in-house UI comps. I spent about 1 hour trying to understand how to build a basic one. It did simplify the long tail of Tailwind.

Today I hope to focus on something more creative...

  14. @leaverou Hi, i'm searching for a #UIComponents library that is based on Vanilla CSS, no Tailwind, accessible and don't require a framework like React. I think you had tweeted about a UI library that matches these requirements before but I can't retrieve your tweet... Can you help me please ?

  19. This is a pretty comprehensive checklist for vetting components and patterns for your Design System:

    bootcamp.uxdesign.cc/vetting-c

The only thing I would add — don’t be afraid of saying “no”. Existing components might serve a similar purpose and are already familiar to users, so *not* adding a new one can sometimes be the best outcome.
