Czasami scam da się udaremnić przez proste trzymanie się procedur.
Mam w rodzinie osobę 80+ prowadzącą biuro dla lokalnej organizacji. Parę dni temu powiedziała, że przyszedł email o odnowieniu domeny od ich hostingu, miała problem ze znalezieniem faktury (podejrzane, mogłem od razu zapytać) ale sobie poradziła. Ok.
Dziś przyszła poprosić o pomoc w przesłaniu operatorowi hostingu emaila ze scamem podszywającego się pod nich! Okazuje się, że co prawda nie rozpoznała scamu (wysłany z gmaila, ale akurat ich skrzynka pocztowa nieszczęśliwie pokazuje tylko tekstowy podpis nadawcy a nie faktyczny adres), ale też nie kliknęła wielkiego linku "kliknij tutaj, by zapłacić" (możliwe, że już wtedy zablokowanego przez #pihole albo #uBlockOrgin) - zamiast tego zrobiła przelew na znany, stały numer konta firmy.
Firma skontaktowała się z powrotem z zapytaniem, za co ta nierozpoznana przez nich płatność. Ukłony dla seohost.pl za solidne podejście.
I tylko jeszcze myślę, komu cholera opłaca się robić indywidualnie dopasowany scam, żeby wyłudzić 18 zł?

@wolfram_roesler ja, sehe ich auch immer öfter, habe daher mein Firefox angepasst, mit #uBlockOrgin und #disconnect , sowie die Einstellung das alles gelöscht wird, wenn ich den Browser schließe.
Aber das ist Dir ja bestimmt bekannt :mastocheeky:
Nutze derzeit übrigens immer öfter #librewolf als Browser, der ist schon ab Werk gut für solche Seiten eingestellt.

Hé toi ! Oui là, toi, qui glandouille devant sa tv ce samedi soir téléphone à la main, aurais-tu une petite suggestion d'appli compatible #AndroidTV qui me permette de virer les pubs de #YouTube. Parce-que là, purée... Sur mon téléphone #firefox + #uBlockOrgin sont parfaits... Mais je sèche sur la tv. Oui je peux caster ou autre mais j'aime bien glandouiller devant yt avec mon téléphone 😊

Since uBO is now blocked on Chrome, and Firefox has an uncertain future(??), I would like browser recommendations, pls.
Something with container tabs or equivalent, and add-on support. Even if your choice doesn't have it, I would like to know your thoughts!

#Firefox still running strong on being able to block ads on #Youtube (e.g. with #uBlockOrgin) . Seeing #Mozilla is getting lots of funding from #Google in order for them to suggest Google as primary search engine, I wonder how this is going to play out....

warum verwendest du weiterhin #UMatrix? Das wird doch nicht mehr weiterentwickelt.
Mit #uBlockOrgin kannst du das auch blockieren. -
Such a nice small win after finding #youtube vids being blocked from playing on #firefox mobile with #uBlockOrgin enabled. Just had to refresh the filter lists, which took about three seconds. This was such a funny era in music history, seeing two bands open for #nineinchnails , taking two bands that are mostly hilarious, but producing records for them that really hardened and amped up their sound, Pop Will Eat Itself and Prick, the latter being on the tour with Bowie https://youtu.be/6d7f0wj5VP0?si=4NxPJrGwLDoBWI51
