This weeks #Lego #FossilFriday is #Tusoteuthis
Orginally named in 1898 by William N. Logan, Tusoteuthis is known from one fragmentary fossil. Several other fossils (including the one shown in the fossil example image below) are not confirmed one way or another to be Tusoteuthis.
In 2019, it was suggested that Tusoteuthis, due to said poor preservation, should be classed as a nomen dubium, with any fossils allocated to that name being reclassified as Enchoteuthis.
