  1. #London Northwestern #Railway (LNR) has confirmed that planned #strike action by members of the #TSSA trade union on Friday 31 July and Saturday 1 August has been suspended following further talks. A full service will now operate to the normal timetable across the network. The industrial action had been expected to result in reduced services on routes including Birmingham to Liverpool, Crewe to London Euston, Stafford to Crewe via Stoke-on-Trent, #Birmingham to #London Euston via Northampton, Milton Keynes to London Euston and the St Albans Abbey branch, while no trains had been planned on the Marston Vale line between Bedford and Bletchley. Customer experience director Jonny Wiseman welcomed the suspension, saying it would avoid disruption for passengers and allow normal services to run.

On Friday, services will be limited, with some routes suspended, the last trains departing by around 5.30pm and no services after 7pm. On Saturday, trains will start later than usual, from around 7am, with some routes also closed. Limited services will operate between Birmingham and #Liverpool, Crewe and London Euston, Stafford and Crewe via Stoke-on-Trent, #Birmingham and London Euston via Northampton, Milton Keynes and London Euston, and St Albans Abbey and Watford Junction. No #trains will run on other LNR routes, including the Marston Vale line between Bedford and Bletchley. Disruption may continue on the morning of Sunday 2 August. Tickets for 31 July or 1 August will also be valid on 29-30 July and 2-3 August.
